I've been watching Home Alone 1 and 2 again for the first time in years, and surprisingly, they still hold up quite well. They're no Shawshanks, sure, but for what they are, they excel at it. Just makes me hate Home Alone 4 even more by comparison.

Speaking of good movies, The Namesake is really good. Really good. Watch it now.

If people who identify as "random" really were, you'd expect a much more varied range of subjects. Sure, there'd be the days where they just talk about cheese, but on other days they'd talk about the history of phoenix legends, how to convert from degrees to radians, and Anselm's ontological argument.

Anyway, a few nut-driving things that I just remembered:
- People IRL who feel like they always have to add something to a conversation, no matter how useless -- usually so they can feel like they "won", when I wasn't even trying to have an argument.
- How Obama is about to become president without ever having said anything substantive.
- Libraries closing six hours early on weekends.
- The number of hours in the day.
- The lousy internet reception in my dorm room.

I wish I still had the fold-out map screen with SMA2. I think it fell apart from being carried around in my pocket too much. Especially if I forgot to take it out before I did the laundry.

I love the villager's reaction in the zombie one. Reminds me of that conspiracy theory thread on the GameFAQs Animal Crossing board, about how the glasses cases are actually Nook's secret distribution method for some mind-control drug, about why he gets so excited when he buys old boots from you (possibly related to the question of how the boot bit your fishing pole in the first place), about how Nook is the one that keeps burning off Blanca's face... it was insane.

My internet's been a little flaky lately, since the college apparently doesn't think wi-fi is very important during finals week, but if I can't get it to work, I should at least have a good connection when I go home on Tuesday. Ha! I'm already done with finals! All I have to do now is put together a 5-minute video with After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and various other cool Apple programs for my final project. (Before anyone says anything, I know AE and PS are Adobe) And it's Mario-related. Well, "related" is kind of an understatement. I'll probably post it up here when it's finished.
