I think Waluigi will appear in the future.. possibly in a Wario game... although both Waluigi and Daisy sound like good choices for side characters in a Luigi game (ahem... a mansion?)...

<Thinks Daisy is cuter that Peach>

Mr. Face appeared on TMK as a sort of a running gag... when recording WTMK promos, we through in one with "Perhaps the most famous member of the Nintendo website community"... naturally, Mr. Face. It kind of grew from there...

Actually, you're getting Mr. Face and Mr. Pants mixed up.

I'd go with Mr. Mushroom...

Not at the Dinner Table / Re: Religion
« on: June 28, 2001, 01:52:07 PM »
If I believe that God made the universe, then I must also believe that nothing that can be proven true can contradict God... right? That's my view on science -- anything we discover to be true must correspond to religious truth, as science and religion are different aspects of the eternal truth...

The problem comes when people decide that a THEORY is truth. It happens in both religion and in science. In religion, some medieval theologians decided that the sun must revolve around the earth, given the earth's primacy in the universe and importance because of God's special relationship with man. However, that was merely a theory... this led to the persecution of Galileo. The Catholic Church today notes that religious THEORY and PROPOSITIONS can't be taken in the same way as truths... something that some people in the middle ages didn't understand. The same goes for science... at one point in time, scientists believe that frogs were generated from mud and flies from manure. This was proven incorrect as well.

Theories can be true or false... but until proven, you must remember they are still theories. Einstein's Theory of Relativity, the Theory of Evolution, and others are still unproven theories... they are different from scientific Laws, things that CAN be proven. Evolution with regards to the human species can't be made a scientific law until a "Missing Link" is found (it hasn't, so far).  Einstein's theory of relativity can't be proven until we can accelerate observable matter to the speed of light.

"Perhaps I should take care of this problem. Mario's busy in Dinosaur Land, so it's up to me!"

Luigi quickly gathered the usual supplies (spare overalls, the golden plunger, two Fire Flowers, and a dusty old P-Wing that had been sitting in the corner for the past 5 years) and headed off to fight Wart...

Two days later, halfway through the southern forest, Luigi realized that he really had no idea of where Wart was.

Mario Chat / Re: Super Mario Advance thoughts

Super Mario Advance does a better job as far as playability goes than Super Mario Bros. DX did -- I really don't notice the smaller screen size for the game. The only problem I have is with the "screen scroll" that happens when you go up or down -- but that was present in the original SMB2 as well. Oh well.

Castlevania is the best title on the GBA. Trust me.

Deezer, you broke down and bought a GBA?

Mario Chat / Re: Proof that female Yoshies exist

Yes, there are female Yoshies. The whole egg-laying thing by male Yoshies is weird, but not completely unexplainable. After all, most Yoshi eggs seem to be refuse, and not for hatching, right?

So... did we ever determine who did the voice of Mr. Face?

The question isn't as much as to whether we LIKE the character, but whether they are a major player...

Waluigi and Daisy seem to be being fitted to make it into the "long haul"... both are appearing in Mario Party 3, which is supposed to highlight the major characters. I am rather sure they will both appear in some kind of launch Mario sports game on the Game  Cube...

Kamek has only appeared in one game... Magikoopas are all over, but Kamek has 1 game. Same with Wart.

The Koopalings seem to be gone. Thus, they are no longer major characters.

I think Deezer is waiting to see if Waluigi and Daisy appear in any more games ... I'm pretty sure Waluigi will, and I hope Daisy will. Heck, if there IS a "Luigi's Mansion" game on the Game Cube for launch... Daisy and Waluigi would seem to make sense, wouldn't they?

Yoshi's Big Adventure...
------------------------

The rain dripped down the leaves of Dino Forest, turning the brown earth into dribbling mud. In a clearing stood a young dinosaur, wearing red boots and a strange little saddle on its back. The dinosaur stood there, chewing on the remains of a strange mushroom-like creature, with huge eyebrows.  All was quiet, until...
