The best game on Virtual Console is really Bloody Wolf. You probably don't believe me, but you just gotta d/l it and play it. No one had heard of it but my friend randomly downloaded and taught us all the sheer awesomeness hidden within.

+ The game is really fun and challenging. The final boss took me like 50 tries to beat.

+ It has the best writing of any game I've ever seen. I'm not joking. You just have to read it to see what I mean.

+ You get to pick your own codename. Seriously, how many other 16-bit games let you do that?

Get Bloody Wolf. Play Bloody Wolf. Live Bloody Wolf.

Talk about Bloody Wolf here.

It has the best writing of any game I've ever seen.

Is that because Bloody Wolf is heavily loaded with Engrish?
"You! Invaders! Get you the hot bullets of shotgun to die!"

Nope. All English is perfect.

Is there any screenshots or videos I can watch? What kind of game is it (shooter 'em, RPG, platformer, etc.)? What system is it for? How many Wii points does it cost? I might pick it up if it sounds interesting enough.

Info Page

I understand there are those of you who can't even beat Super Mario Bros. This game may not be for you. It you try it, you might find yourself crouched in the corner of your shower, rocking back and forth with your arms wrapped around your knees as the cold torrent endlessly rains down.

But we all have our predilections.

Seriously, why aren't you people buying this?

Is the sprite flickering as bad as it looks in the video?

Lizard Dude · « **Reply #7 on:** July 01, 2007, 10:33:45 PM »

No, but it can happen when there are 10 dudes piled up at once shooting and being shot at (like they show). Don't know why they illustrate a scene that shows glitching graphics.

Wow, LD is correct, The bosses are really tough, the writing is good, and code names, oh boy!

Did he end up sending you a Wii points card?

SolidShroom · « **Reply #10 on:** July 16, 2007, 12:51:06 PM »

Nah, I got 20 earlier today because I wanted Paper Mario. I was joking anyway.

I wonder if this game was censored in the UK, too...

Kid: Paper Mario on Nintendo 64 is the best virtual console game ever.
Lizard: I disagree. It's a very good game, but I think Bloody Wolf is the best virtual console game ever.
Kid: Bloody Wolf sucks!
Lizard: You know something? You suck!

SolidShroom · « **Reply #13 on:** July 19, 2007, 12:46:17 AM »

Dang that kid sure got it handed to him.

With the advent of the Virtual Console gifting feature, I propose a new offer. If you want Bloody Wolf, just tell me and I'll buy it for you (if you're cool).
