Nintendo Badge Arcade is a claw machine game where you can win "badges" with which to decorate your 3DS's home screen. The arcade charges $1.00 for five plays, but once a day you can try to win free plays in the practice catcher. The sets of badges in the catchers change at least once a week, so there's usually a good mix of new and old badges available.

Many of the badges are based on sprites and official artwork from various Nintendo game series. The following is a list of the Mario-related series from the U.S. version, as of June 26, 2017:
