Plankton set number 09, "Beatnes," has four different NES themes to cycle through with the Select button. The first selection uses the Super Mario Bros. Starman theme for its background music, while the heads and tails of the plankton play SMB sound effects when touched. Some of the sound effects here include stomp, 1-Up, jump (small Mario), power-up, coin, and fireball. The third theme's background music is a very slight remix of the Donkey Kong background music.
