In some of the houses in the village, there is a painting of Mario on the walls. In the screen shot above, Link is pointing to a painting with his sword. There are four occurrences total: here (shown above), here, here, and here.

Also, there is an enemy resembling a Chain Chomp in the Turtle Rock dungeon.
