Mario's life-long rival Wario has taken over Mario's own country, Mario World! Using new power-ups and items, help Mario defeat Wario's evil henchmen and reclaim his world.

N&B Block
The final level of the Mario Zone is constructed of N&B Blocks, Nintendo's version of LEGOs. In the level, there is one "N&B" logo seen on a wall of blocks.

Three Little Pigs
The bosses of the Mario Zone are three pigs who pop out of three houses, one made of brick, one straw, and one wood. This references the famous Western fairy tale of the "Three Little Pigs" who built crude houses to escape a hungry wolf.
