A randomly chosen small, Super, or Fiery Mario or Luigi runs across the screen during a download in the Wii Shop Channel, collecting coins that enter from the other side of the screen and hitting each of the three blocks as the download progresses. Each coin represents one percent of the download, but the total amount coins may fall short of 100 depending on download size and speed.

If Mario or Luigi is fiery, you can shoot fireballs with the A button.

There is a small chance that Mario and Luigi will swim across the screen during the download.
