Although I can make out a lot of what is said there, I'm still far from being able to actually read it.
Poor Japanese. That article is like 80% katakana, which is really bad. It would be like trying to read the following:
I ikued to the benjo because shizuka-na ongaku was playing from there. Bikkurily, I found two futotteiru otoko no ko playing shamisen. From sagasuing on the Internet, I kangaeru that they chūkajiminkyōwakoku kara kirued. But zannen deshita ne because once jōzu ni narued, they derued the heya. That made me kanashii for three gakki, and I wasurerued kangae-kata. Without kangaerareru, I benjo o tsukaemasendeshita. It sugoku warukatta desu! Now the benjo is a very kowai tokoro.
Although I think katakana looks very cool, I'm no fan of the Japanese's crazy reliance on loanwords.
