Video Game Chat / Re: How do YOU game on the go?
« on: April 10, 2007, 04:21:21 PM »
Alright, I do agree with the fact that the PSP has a shorter battery life, but I can't figure out why everybody says it's built so badly.  Mine works perfectly, except for one dead pixel.  And yes Chupperson, the reason I did buy it was to hack it.  There are actually only about two UMDs that I actually want to own for it.  As for the emulators, GBA, GB/GBC, SNES, NES, and Genesis all work great.  None of them stretch the screen...

I prefer the PSP because it doesn't require any expensive flash carts to use homebrew, and it comes with a built in photo viewer and music and movie player, plus superior graphics.  (And optional camera and GPS attachments.)  In my opinion, it's better.

I would own a DS, but I sprang for a PSP because it does homebrew with just a couple of downloads.  Plus, you can't beat the $66 I got it for :D  I'll probably get a DS in a few years when I can afford one.

(P.S.  PaperWario, If you're running firmware higher than version 3.03, I don't think you can do homebrew at this time.  If you're running lower, than I highly suggest custom firmware.  How to get the custom firmware can be found at: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=psp&message.id=2810436.  To downgrade to 1.50 first, go to http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=psp&thread.id=2792391.)

Who the heck is the Purple Pieman?!  He does bear some resemblance to Waluigi though...  Didn't Waluigi just suddenly show in in Mario Tennis as a partner for Wario?  Oh well, I dislike Mario Tennis anyway.

Not to be confused with Mario's Tennis.  That game rocks.

But "Mushroom Principality" just doesn't have a nice ring to it.

Well, It's been a while since I was here (probably since I found out there's more to life than hanging around on forums.)  Anyway, I just got a PSP and realized it OWNS the DS.  Of course.....that may not be what you think.  Considering that this is a site full of Nintendo fans, I can probably know what to expect.  Or maybe I can't...

I like Miyamoto's view of personality to a certain degree.  After Mario not having much of a personality for all those years, it's kinda hard to get used to him talking of his own accord.  I'm not sure I like that, but a few one liners couldn't hurt ;)

Link does NOT need a voice.  It would ruin his coolness.

1991 > 1992, simply because I was born then.

I concur with that, since I was also born then.  Besides that, unless I'm mistaken the SNES and Mega Man IV also came out that year.  That makes it pwn just that much more.

Can You Percolate?

Hopefully it's one of these meanings...

2.   (of a liquid) to filter through; permeate.
3.   to brew (coffee) in a percolator.
–verb (used without object)
4.   to pass through a porous substance; filter; ooze; seep; trickle.
5.   to become percolated: The coffee is starting to percolate.
6.   to become active, lively, or spirited.
7.   to show activity, movement, or life; grow or spread gradually; germinate: Interest in the idea has begun to percolate.
–noun
8.   a percolated liquid.
[Origin: 1620–30; < L perc?l?tus, ptp. of perc?l?re to filter. See per-, colander, -ate1]

The Metal Gears would be cool.
Oh, and I like the sound of Pigs (Three Different Ones) for a three piece band.
5 points to anyone that can name where I got Pigs (Three Different Ones) from.

Umm...... Mario Paint?

If you ever do manage to harness that energy, please let me know.  I could use that technique to tap into my sibling's (who is NOT from the 90's) energy resource....

When did the word n00b come into existence anyway?

Game Help / Wind Waker Help
« on: February 22, 2007, 07:32:41 PM »
I can't believe I'm asking for help with this but here goes...
1.  I can't seem to hit the switch that opens the Nintendo club hatch.  How do you do that?
2.  Where are all the kids in Windfall when you play hide and seek.  I can't find them.
3.  Who/how do you catch someone in the act sending the unwanted letter?  Please help me if you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, any help is appreciated.
