CVG contacted Nintendo of Europe in an attempt to pry some information about Mario Kart Wii (http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/games/mkwii). Nintendo confirmed for it's PAL gamers that Mario Kart Wii (http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/games/mkwii) will not be coming landside until 2008, shattering any hope to the rumor (or, as they type, rumour) of a 2007 release. Nintendo states that Europe has no reason to worry though, as they'll be getting other heavyhitters such as Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy (http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/games/smg), and <strike>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</strike> Pokémon Battle Revolution. It seems that Nintendo also confirms the game is coming sometime before the end of January, stating that they want to start the year off with it and go from there.
Before ending the conversation with CVG, Nintendo told them that they will have major Mario Kart Wii (http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/games/mkwii) related information coming soon. How soon? No one knows, but we can all agree it's not soon enough.

Update: Looking at the press site, I noticed a logo for the game popped up that I had not seen before. It's attached after the jump (aka click "Discuss in the Fungi Forums")!
