FoxTrot cartoonist Bill Amend occasionally includes video game references in his comic strip, but it's been a while since Mario was mentioned. This Sunday's strip references Super Mario Bros. as Jason works on family Christmas card designs. Check it out online at FoxTrot.com.

I remember that Jason's mother told him, to go outside and play when it was winter. So Jason and his friend Marcus were acting like Super Mario Bros. It was so funny.

^ Oh, yeah--I think that one's in the archives here somewhere (that, and the Boondocks' "doesn't Mario kinda look like Saddam Hussein?" one)

Oh, yes, Foxtrot... it doesn't run in my paper, but I've picked up a few collections at the library before. Hilarious, hilarious stuff.

It doesn't run in any paper, any more. The creator has stopped creating it.
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

No, he's still writing it; he just does it on Sundays now.
That was a joke.
