You could use voice command. But, Siri once tried to get me directions to a hotel but instead took me into the lot behind Six Flags, told me to get out of the car and walk a mile or two, so you know, be careful of that

I always imagined the dunes were huge beaches by the sides of the seas 2-2 and 7-2 are in, and the Cheep Cheeps are back for revenge

Triples and Rotations were removed!

My Triples team involved using Greninja's Mat Block and protean type changing, and Latias' Tailwind and Heal Pulse, to enable Lickilicky to destroy everything with Belly Drum, Rock Slide, Earthquake and Explosion. I know what to do to retool it into a doubles team. My Rotations team on the other hand... I'll explain it first

Politoed is in the lead, so Drizzle activates when the battle starts. Kingdra and Audino are in the back, Kingdra with Sniper and holding a Scope Lens, Audino with a Sitrus Berry because I never got a copy of ORAS and don't know if Audinite would really help it do its job here any better. On turn 1 I rotate to Kingdra, who uses Focus Energy, bringing its crit chance to 100%. On the second turn, I rotate to Audino and use Gravity. Gravity makes it so that low-accuracy moves like Hydro Pump will always hit. The rain multiplies water-type attacks' power by 1.5 and a Sniper's crits are 2.25 times as powerful as non-crits, plus you have your STAB, so this Kingdra is now dishing out base power 556.875 Hydro Pumps with over 100% accuracy. Politoed knows Rain Dance in addition to having Drizzle and can therefore restart the rain if it ends without having to switch out, and if anyone gets hurt, Audino knows Wish, which will heal whoever is rotated in on the turn after it's used. He also has Heal Bell. The team is backed up by Mamoswine, Garchomp and Toxicroak, all given hard-hitting moves that are sure to hit under high Gravity.

I can't make this absurd strategy happen in any other format, sadly, due to the way rotating does not use a turn or remove status changes like switching out does. I'm not sure I can even take any of the members and teach them different moves, because their natures are specific to the roles played in this team in particular. I'm just going to have to leave it in X unless they ever bring Rotations back.

I always opted to fight hordes over super training for my EVs. Especially after Bank came out, gave me more BP than I could ever need, allowing me to get loads of Power items.

Nothing as simple seems to exist in SM. I think I'll probably usually do my breeding and EV training in X unless there is an egg move or the Pokémon I want doesn't exist in gen 6.

My main problem with the game is that it will not ever shut the hell up about Kanto and generation 1. You've got your new alternate Alolan forms, they're all from gen 1 originally. The all-new pokémon are often difficult to find (I hear there is one you can only find by battling a wild Corsola until it calls for help), but the returning pokémon are not, and most of them are from gen 1. Keep an eye open for shadows on the ground! You can get a flying pokémon that's not found in the grass! Except half the time it's Spearow, who is found in the grass as well. Here, have a fishing rod! Who knows what wondrous new things can be found in the water on the end of your hook... like Magikarp. Again. Ever wanted to ride a pokémon around (and not have it be sluggish and restrictive like in gen 6)? Well I hope it's been the same ones for the last 20 years, because other than Stoutland and Sharpedo they're all from gen 1.

What really got me was when I was in a grocery store in the game, and an NPC offered free samples, including "Tamato berries fresh from Kanto." No. Shut up. Just shut up. Kanto is NOT known for berries. Ever. At all. For any reason whatsoever. There were no berries in gen 1. There were fewer trees in Kanto than Johto in gen 2. Berry trees didn't exist in Kanto in gen 3, you could find berries there sure but only hidden invisibly on the ground far away from any trees. There were once again no berry trees in gen 4, only apricorn trees. In the cases of gen 3 and 4. There is no reason you would have said a berry came from Kanto, Game Freak, unless you JUST wanted to mention Kanto, AGAIN. I get it. Kanto exists. It's amazing. Yeah. Geez.

Frankly I'm surprised there ISN'T a professor handing out Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle again. Is this what the series is going to be, now? less than 90 actual new Pokémon per generation, and an obnoxious amount of gen 1 ****? I'm dying for another Black/White where all the old been-there-done-that pokémon are just gone and out of the way until postgame.

Other than that it's what I'd hoped X would be.

Not too long ago I would have said Next Level Games, because from Punch-Out!! and Luigi's Mansion 2 it seemed like they were living the dream: making Nintendo games with creative freedom, some helpful guidance but not stifling control coming from up above... but then, they made Federation Force. Everything about it clashes with what I thought about NLG. The idea came down from Metroid Prime's producer? Who thought that a good idea for a game would be to expand on the fiction by showing it from the perspective of space marines? It's their most recent project, but does not appear in their list of works on their website? Hmmmmmmmmmm......

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming NLG for anything here. I didn't play MPFF and it doesn't really look like a game I'd get into. Maybe it's fine but maybe so is Sonic and Final Fantasy and other trash I don't like. Even if it were a bottle of satan's pee I don't think it's their fault that it exists. I don't think it's something they're proud of. I think it was an order handed down from Nintendo that they followed to make some money. That's fine. There is nothing wrong with participating in a job that's way beneath you to afford to stay in business for the good ones. But it's a wake-up call that you can't deify a business or imagine it's a dream job.

Realistically it's way early for me to be thinking about where making games might take me. I've only finished one, and it IS something, but hardly. I'm back onto working on my second one regularly. Just get a little bit done every day, work on whatever code is the current agenda for an hour a day, it's like anything else and the progress will stack up, that's what I'm doing. When I've done all I can do, I'll need a soundtrack (don't offer please, I have... not "plans" but "fantasies" and I'll deal with that as it comes). After it has one of those, I'll see if it meets Steam's monumental quality control standards, and publish it myself.

Palossand is far and away my favorite one so far. If Water Compaction makes it immune to water attacks, I'm expecting it to be a formidable tank, too...

Yes, good, the smart ideas becoming the smart reality. Something simple with a lot of practical functions. No divide in the handheld/console player base. Nintendo won't have to worry about which side to make a game for, or waste budget to put a same or similar game on both. This should be good, this should naturally lead to good things...

Too bad for the dog in the reveal video, dude ignored poor dog to play Zelda. Love your doggo more, Zelda-playing guy

Looking forward to Pokémon gen 8

I'll never be a speedrunner-caliber person but I understand the feeling... when you love a game so much that you have to know everything about it, including how to break it

I was seeing a lot of people turn around, give it a chance, and describe good first impressions.

Too bad I'm busy. I've yet to play the last two Ace Attorney games (or Layton vs. Wright, or the AAI spinoffs!) and have been getting ready to do that. I got Pikmin 3 a ways back and still haven't started it. I didn't finish Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon or Dark Souls 3. I really should get back to Metroid Prime 2 someday. I'm still meaning to play Wario Land 4, Shake It and Wario World so I can start complaining about the Wario hiatus two-fold. I think I'll probably really like Fallout: New Vegas when I give it more attention. I liked what I played of BioShock Infinite and have to give that another go, hopefully a go that won't be sabotaged by faulty autosaves. There's this game called Redout that looks like the successor to F-Zero I've wanted, and I'm dying to play that

I've got a large backlog. Maybe in twelve or fifteen years I'll get to Color Splash, since it'll definitely be beloved and remembered
