It's a shame that Yorterrie doesn't really resemble a Yorkie.

I plan on catching that Mushroom-themed Voltorb ripoff as soon as possible, naming it Kipokéo, and loving it forever and ever.

Buffalon is one of my favorite things. It's a buffalo with an afro, and its signature move is Afro Break!
No! I don't want that!

All the 5Gen Pokemon: http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtml
Also, I'm pretty sure the third mascot will be Kyuremu.

Some of them, particularly those which appear to be wearing clothes, don't even look like Pokemon anymore.

I can't help but feel that they're overcompensating for the lack of Bug-types in previous generations.

I can't take the "THEY'RE WEARING CLOTHES THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE POKEMON" thing seriously when Jynx, Hitmonchan, Machoke, and Machamp existed in the first generation. Way to conveniently forget things.

I think that somewhere along the way, they stopped being pocket monsters. Upon seeing the boxes for Diamond and Pearl, a friend of mine said what I'd been thinking: "They've moved beyond pocket monsters and are unofficial Final Fantasy summons."
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

Jynx, Hitmonchan, Machoke, and Machamp

Of those, only Jynx is comparable to the two new Fighting-types that wear full karate gi.

"They've moved beyond pocket monsters and are unofficial Final Fantasy summons."

CANNOT UNSEE

EDIT: Any guesses as to what #560 (and its pre-evolution) is based on?

These be my favorites, in no particular order.

I am a man of bizarre tastes.

I love the second one down from the right column. He looks like he's really ready to fight.
The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!

Baffuron has got to be the best Pokemon in the world. I can't wait to see how Shanderaa turns out, though. Base 145 special attack Ghost/Fire STAB is going to be amazing, I just hope it's not shelved to ubers. Overall I don't see too many special sweepers, compared to the amount of slow hard hitting physical Pokemon there are (Roopushin, anyone?).

On a side note, Maggyo is the most adorable thing in the world.

I will say that the music so far has been as good of a selling point as any for me.  The is very nice this time around.

I'm going to receive flack for this but I don't like any of them. They look horrible.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?

Meh. Even I was struggling to find worthy selections beyond my seventh or eighth poick.

As for the music, I'm relieved to hear that it's not terribly fancy or overdone.
