Video Game Chat / The Value of Saved Games

You all may remember that Mr. Melee had his house robbed and his GameCube and his accessories for it stolen several months ago. He eventually got back the stolen items in one way or another, but there was one thing the insurance company couldn't replace: the saved data on his memory cards. This makes me consider if saved game data could be considered to have some sort of (monetary or otherwise) value, depending on the game and amount of progress the player had put into it. Do you think game data should have this value?

Video Game Chat / Everybody Votes Channel -- How did you vote?

Today a new Wii Channel, called the Everybody Votes Channel, was released. It gives simple two-answer questions and collects the data, displaying them after each poll ends. I wanted to know how you guys vote on each poll, so I made this and will update it with whatever poll question is about to end.

Oh, I voted and predicted Roses.

Video Game Chat / Do you read the manual?

There seems to be two schools of thought on manuals among gamers. The first is that the manual should be read all the way through before playing a game. The other says that the game should just be played and the manual should be consulted only for help on a specific function, or not at all. So which do you belong to?

Are you a member of another forum? If so, do you have a signature there that you couldn't use here? Then post it here! (I know this could be used for advertising. Please, just limit it to what you have.)

Since this is the only place that I'm a member of, I don't have anything fancier than what my sig is now.

I noticed that not everyone is using the default theme. Which one are you using?

To get to this, go to the top of this screen. Click on . On the left, under "Modify profile", select "Look and Layout Preferences". Under "This section allows you to customize the look and layout of the forum.", click on the "(change)" link. You can then browse themes avaliable to you.

Recently I read about how the way toilet paper rolls are hung on the holder can be an issue between people. While reading this, I thought, "What would people on the FFs think about this?". So I created this poll.
