Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe will serve up the Wii remake of Mario Power Tennis (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/mpt) in March, according to their release schedules for early 2009. The series of GameCube games updated with Wii controls, known as "Wii de Asobu" (Play on Wii) in Japan, is named "New Play Control!" for North America and Europe.

God forgive me, but "New Play Control!" sounds a little Engrish-y.
-
How come the Japanese label sounds like the English one and vice versa...
-
Reminds me of how Ness's game was released in the US yet he sounds Japanese while Lucas's game was Japan-only yet he sounds American.
-
Why couldn't they have left it simply as "Mario Power Tennis"?
Honestly, what the hell were they thinking?
-
What?
-
Why not Mario Power Tennis; Wii Edition? Or put "Wii Control" on all of them?
-
Since when does it need to have a new name? Just recycle the boxart, replace the Gamecube logo with the Wii logo, change a couple of logos around the box, and slap "NEW PLAY CONTROL!" on it. Couldn't be simpler.

It doesn't really matter. "New Play Control" will most likely be a subtitle. I do agree though that "Play on Wii" sounds better.
