Title: Shaving
Post by: Lizard Dude on February 14, 2006, 10:50:35 PM
If you shave something, what do you use to shave it?

---
Traditionally, I used a Gillette Trac II Plus, but this Christmas break forgot all my stuff at home and bought some BiC Sensitive Shavers (one blade). Let me tell you, don't shave with your pen manufacturer's products because it hurts.

Today was a day of happiness, however, because I got a Gillette Mach 3 Turbo. It is wonderful!

Electric razors are one of the most ingenious inventions on the planet (right after Mario and videogames).  Some people think electric razors are not as "effective" as the manual ones, but hey, it works just fine for me.

Plus, you don't get cuts. Good stuff.

I usually only shave about once or twice a week. Previously, I left the mustache alone, but I started shaving that off as well. I use Gilette disposable razors (Any kind, they're all fine).

Though I should admit that I do not use any kind of shaving cream or lotion. I shave after getting out of the shower before heading to bed.

I just use basic soap and water.

Ah, shaving. It's something I'm forced to do at least once every two days, if I'm going to look well-kept. Though I've been known to be lazy and keep the rugged look for a few days, I generally keep it clean.

Anyway, in highschool, when it wasn't so bad I used an electric razor. The name doesn't stick with me, probably because it's a generic one. These days I stick to my blade. It may take a bit longer, but it really does result in a closer shave. The blade I use is a "Gillette Mach 3 Power." It's one of those fancy blades that vibrate. I can't imagine shaving without it.

I dunno the name of it, but it's the one that has three flat circles on it in a sort of triangular formation.

Gillette Mach 3 Turbo.

The same. I only use water because I'm lazy.

Hahahaha!.. Sorry! I thought it was kind of funny that Sapphira posted a picture of a razor (it's almost 1am here.. I've had a long day and I need sleep..)

Anyway, I use a Gilette razor (not an electric one), and lots of shaving cream and warm water.. then sometimes, some after shave.

I have very sensitive skin, and I really don't like shaving around my neck area. I'm also extremely ticklish. :)

I use shaving cream to the max. Maybe not as neccessary now that I have actual advanced technology at my disposal.

Water doesn't cut it for me. Generic brand shaving cream gets the job done.

Shave.

'Gillette CostomPlus', and 'edge Pro Gel'.  Nothing fancy or high tech, just something that has blades and the lubricating strip.  People like me that have sensitive faces NEED that lubricating strip.

I use good ol' bic razors and generic shaving cream.

Colgate shaving cream and a generic, 3-bladed safety razor. I only use safety razors. The other stuff changes some times.

AH, I hate shaving! I just did so today. . .I'm getting the new Gillette Fusion very soon, and I heard that it's an extremely good razor. But for now I use the Gillete Mach 3, not the electric one either, just the plain old razor with three blades. I trim my facial hair with Remmington trimmers (b/c much like Black Mage, I'm lazy and go with the rugged look more often than shaving) But when I shave I take like half an hour to shave b/c I'm extremely careful. . .anyways, i'm sure you dont' want to hear the shaving habits of random people so, yea, i'm done.

A sharp rock and shiny water.

I'm not old enough to shave, but if I was, I'd just get someone to throw knives at my face and I'd tilt my head at just such an angle that I get a sexy five-o'clock shadow. Instead of dying.

I actually wish shaving was that fun. After awhile it just turns into a big, boring, time-wasting pain in the fanny.

Sometimes I try to mix it up a little, to make it more interesting. Like, shaving with my eyes closed, for example, or holding the razor upside down.

Interesting...

I'm glad I don't have to shave. Sounds like it's painful.

You don't shave? O_o

Legs and under the arms isn't painful. Only mildly annoying that it needs to be done. Less annoying than being "hairy," though. I wouldn't know about shaving the face/neck area, but I can't imagine it being that much more annoying. Probably slightly, since the skin is softer there, but...eh.

I shave about twice a week, I'd say. Shaving is just regular routine to me. I'm indifferent to it. I do like the soft, smooth feeling afterward, though. XD  Very rarely do I ever get "wounds" from it, and if so, it's usually tiny.

It's not painful if you use good technology. That's what I learned.

You knew what I mean, Sapph. XD

It isn't painful with old technology if you do it correctly.

Like I said earlier, I use an electric razor with three circles that makes it virtually impossible to cut yourself.  While it is efficient, I like the old method, it reminds me of mowing a lawn.  not that I personally use the "old" method, I'd cut myself...

I don't have to shave yet either!!! But my leg hairs, though few, are getting a bit long.

But Markio has an electric razor and TEM has a safetey one!

They can be electric and safety at the same time. I've got my eye on you...

When I shave, I cut myself a lot. :( I don't like it. It hurts. I wish I had some magic thing where I would never cut myself.

Get a better razor. Seriously.
Before I got a Venus, the razors I had either shaved really well and cut me easily or they didn't shave well, period. And my Venus razor is just the basic kind, too, not one of the "fancier" kinds--and it totally works great. ...And it was free in the mail. :D

It's a little strange that almost all weird topics such as this turn out really well. Like Max's Toilet Paper Positioning topic. There are others that I can't think of right now, though. Well, 'Which Staff will Wed First?' was kind of a random topic.

I dont get how people can cut themselve's with safety razor's.  Unless that is if they have a zit.  And they rarely ever make double sided razor's for shaving anymore.  I have one, but it is wicked old.

I recently tried my knife-throwing idea, and it worked! I got that sexy five-0'clock shadow! Funny thing is, I have no facial hair to get it...

Uh oh, the jig is up!

I remember when my brother tried shaving his head with a disposable razor when he was ten-years-old. He ended up cuting his ear and having a cast bandage over it for three weeks. XD
