I didn't want to post this because it's probably inappropriate, but it fits Hi-Def so well. Hope it hasn't been posted already.

Is the person wearing that male or female?

There's no clear consensus, but it's thought that the person underneath is male. Not that it matters much when the costume looks hideous either way.

I like the mask, but I prefer Birdo naked.

Not if you've seen the Birdoes on DeviantArt, you don't.

I'm a fan of the theory that Yoshi and Birdo actually are in a heterosexual relationship, just the other way around (Yoshi lays eggs, after all).

They're closer than Kermit and Miss Piggy.

Why should species stop them?

They're both gender-ambiguous egg-spewing reptiles with distinctive voices. What's wrong with pairing them up?

They even look kind of similar. And look at Yoshi and Birdo on the cover of Mario Tennis, tell me there's not something between them there.

Incidentally, it's way too easy to make Birdo as ugly as sin. I... wait, I can't find any good Birdo fanart. Someone needs to do the Mario fanbase a service and draw good Birdo fanart.

EDIT 2: I've seen some scary things in my life. Fortunately, this is not near the top of the scary scale. But I have to wonder what made anyone think Kamek and Navel Piranha would have a thing together.

Gah, stop it! These images are killing our brain cells! x_x

Oh, and personally, since Birdo and Yoshi are so similar, I don't see why they couldn't love each other and even mate. It's like a dog and a wolf producing offspring - which isn't weird at all.

However, we still haven't solved the issue of what gender Birdo is, which makes the matter of species unimportant. I wonder if Birdo's creators even knew whether it was a he or she....
What is a mystery? Just go inside my head, and you'll find out.
