Iwata speaks on online DS, Revolution, Zelda

The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived.  Satoru Iwata gave his keynote address.



Key points


* DS online service is coming.

* DS online service will be free.

* Mario Kart DS supports 8-players, no details whether it will be online.

* Animal Crossing DS is online.

* 4 million DS units have shipped, with ~6 million at Euro launch

* Revolution is backwards compatible with GC games.

* Revolution will support wi-fi out of the box.

* IBM is developing "Broadway" CPU for Revolution.

* ATI is developing "Hollywood" GPU for Revolution.

There's also a new high quality Zelda trailer.


Now the wait until E3...

I officially went from "on the fence" to "woah I need this game" after seeing that Zelda trailer.

Only Deezer would be on the fence about a Zelda game.

I miss the Wind Waker graphics :'(

That was cool, but you got me really excited when you said Revolution. I thought you meant that Mario DDR, which, did I mention, is Heaven installed on a disc?
