Title: Aren't there many more areas in SMS?

I have gotten to the 10 areas (Pinna Park, Noki Bay, Defino Plaza, Bianco Hills, Ricco Harbor, Delfino Airstrip, Gelato Beach, Pianta Village, Corena Mountain, and Sirena Beach)marked in the guide, but in the beginning where the Piantas show a map of where Shadow Mario attacked, there are more areas marked! Are they just there, or do I need to get all 120 Shine Sprites to enable them?
