IGN reports (http://cube.ign.com/articles/667/667525p1.html) that Masahiro Sakurai creator and director of Super Smash Bros. will be directing Super Smash Bros. for Revolution! Sakurai is credited as adding all of the little touches to SSBM that made it such a great game. Sakurai is also known for his work in the Kirby series as well as Meteos.

Heard it on another board.
Anyway, it's cool that he'll be directing it. SSB Revolution sounds like it'll be a big success.
-
Didn't that guy quit HAL Laboratories like 2 years ago or something?
-
Yes. That's why this is big news.
-
I bow before thee, Sakurai-san. (I've been watching way too much Sonic X in Japanese. I'm lucky I'm done.) Thou best do a good job or feel the wrath of me and all characters in thy game.
-
Sakurai has a hard job ahead of him. To IMPROVE on the SSB series is a very hard task, but he's done it before.

Nintendo is reportedly looking for hires in order to complete the next Smash Bros. project.
The main positions looking to be filled are:
Game Programmer
3D Character Designer/Modeler
3D Character Animation
3D Map Designer
Nintendo is only contracting these employees for the game. The employment may be terminated after the development is completed.

There's a very interesting article (http://cube.ign.com/articles/673/673312p1.html) on IGN, which has several interesting Smash Bros. Revolution quotes by Sakurai. It appears they're just now starting development, but they're getting a big group together to do it.

If only I lived in japan.....and could program #sigh#
-
Do you know what characters will be there?
-
No, and it's probably not settled yet.
-
I hope that the stupid amd moronic Bowser Jr., that both me and BP hate isn't in it.
-
Fantastic news, although I hope they have enough time for this game to really tone it down. Time issues for the development of SSBM had caused them to make six of the characters clones of other ones, and most disappointingly forced them to leave Sonic out of the game!
