This has been bugging me for the past few days. How do you pronounce that one word that does not apply to the Marioverse?

I always said "cannon." The American Heritage Dictionary says (kān'ən), and I think that's similar. It's been a while since I learned how to interpret those things.

* Bird Person shoots Kojinka with a canon
That phonetic thing would sound like "cane-uhn," but until now I've always said cannon.

You guys are goofballs and Bird Person is wrong. It is pronounced exactly the same as "cannon".
That was a joke.

Bird Person was only interpreting the American Heritage Dictionary pronunciation.

Well...think of something that pirates shot big, cast-iron balls out of at other ships, and you'll know how to pronounce it.

I've always pronounced it like cannon. I just wasn't sure what the proper pronounciation was.

Shouldn't canon rhyme with Ganon or something? Just a thought.
