Title: Which is a bigger deal?
Post by: NintendoIke64 on February 23, 2004, 07:16:58 PM
Yeah, I know I've been on a sort of topic spree lately, but I thought this could evolve into a interesting discussion. (Ha! Interesting...yeah right. Yay cheese guy, I'm thinkin' of you). Anyway, onto the topic. I was wondering, which of these is a bigger deal: Luigi in SM64 or the Triforce in Ocarina Of Time? I've seen a lot of "info" for both sides, but which one do people care more about in a whole?

In the words of the greatest plumber of all time..."LETS A-GO!!!"

Yeah, but some people find it annoying for some reason. You probably should have tested out your sig here.

I have never played any zelda games. What big deal is with the triforce that you speak of?

Brief Description: Okay, in most every Zelda game you eventually get the triforce, which basically is the thing that you don't want the bad guy to have. But in The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, you never get the triforce. This is strange for two reasons. One-The triforce is a major part of the storyline. Two-On the menu screen, there is an indent in the shape of the triforce that looks like the triforce will appear there, when you get, which, once again, you never do. So, people around the world have been faking pictures showing how to get the triforce is CRAZY ways, much like how to find Luigi in Super Mario 64. So, there you have it.<p>

Okay, NintendoIke64.
Your signature is now causing this topic to slow down my computer (to the point that I think it's locked up) when it loads.
I urge you to stave away from media (or other large file types) files in your signature.

Hey, NintendoIke64!!

You didn't explain the Legend of Zelda thing properly! I think you confused Popple...

Let me:

It is a great shame you never played any Legend of Zelda game, Popple...

This is one series Nintendo created that shouldn't be missed at all!! In fact, did you know that the fantastic Legend of Zelda series, which was never a true RPG series (more like action/adventure genre), is the game series which pioneered other game developers to create the RPG genre!?

So what does the Legend of Zelda series basically talk about? Well, there this horrible pig-like creature called Ganon, he decides to conquer the land of Hyrule (the Legend of Zelda version of the Mushroom Kingdom), but in order to do it, he needed a certain power which only comes from a relic called the Triforce (it is said that this relic is actually a gift from the Hylian goddesses to Hyrule). Incedentally, it is said that Princess Zelda of Hyrule is somehow the true protector of the Triforce. The Triforce itself is made out of three pieces: Power, wisdom, and courage. Whenever Ganon found the Triforce, he seems to always get the piece of power, while Zelda always gets the piece of wisdom, and that's why Ganon sometimes kidnaps her...

But where does the piece of courage go to? It goes to the hero of the game, a regular Hylian boy called Link. What is the object of the game? Link has to find a shield and a sword, go on an adventure collecting other weapons and magic items to help him on his way; go through several complicated dungeons, defeat mini-bosses, and retrieve crucial items, like the broken pieces of the Triforce as told in the very first Legend of Zelda game; after finishing every thing, Link has to go and face Ganon, deafeat him, rescue Princess Zelda, and restore peace to Hyrule for a while... until which time Ganon will return! And all this is just basic stuff, as newer games are developed, the story becomes more complicated, it even involves stories of war and death!! Although this sounds similar to Super Mario and was created by Shigeru Miyamoto as well, this is not your avarage Nintendo game series!!

The game series itself does not follow a proper continuity, in fact, although the Ocarina of Time is the fifth Legend of Zelda game that was released, the story seems more like the very first Legend of Zelda story, that what makes it sooooooo amazing!!

So! Do you know now of what is the Legend of Zelda series, Popple?

I am a pure Super Mario lover!!

...and in no point in the future will he ever be abandonded by me!

I will even drawn the best Super Mario comics ever to exist!!

I remember it was said Ocarina of Time featured the first incarnations of Link and Zelda, in the other games the featured Link and Zelda are descendants of the original two, and I believe Ganon is the exact same person in all the games.

Yes, I know I did a poor job of explaining Zelda games. But it was supposed to be a BRIEF explanation of how the TRIFORCE is similare to LUIGI. But, thanks for the help. Oh, and I was wondering, if Link and Zelda are descendents of the first, would'nt genetic mutations occure if they ever (for the sake of the smaller members, no offense) fell in love again?

They(Link and Zelda) don't have kids with each other, their relationship is purely triforcial.

Descendants of Link and Zelda doesn't necessarily mean children directly from Link and Zelda, it can mean children of Link, and children of Zelda. But yes, Ganondorf is the same guy in all of them, I believe.
