I can see mainstream Mario games looking the same for comfort (to players) and consistancy reasons, but touching Paper Mario is going way to far.

"You know, I've been thinking. When Nintendo gives Paper Mario NSMB designs, don't play the game. Make Nintendo take the designs back! I don't want your [darn] NSMB designs, what am I supposed to do with these! Demand to see Nintendo's manager! Make Nintendo rue the day it thought it could give Paper Mario NSMB designs! What weird stuff has happened to you, either on the fourms or in real life? Once this happened to me. Unread fourms were misteriously being read. The TMK stuff section was missing entirely. It turns out I collapsed the TMK Stuff.

The Lego Wiimote. I don't own it, but it seems like it would be hard to play Wii with it with the studs digging into your hands. It appears to come with a few pieces, but the price is as much as a Wiimote plus. ($40)

So can anyone give a good explanation for why Mario powers up when Yoshi swallows items in Super Mario World?  Or for that matter, why swallowing something gives Mario a coin?

Yoshis can't use the power-ups, so their power goes to the nearest person that can use it
for the coins, you don't want to know.
