Ten doesn't really qualify as jailbait in my book. Bait is something a fish looks at and thinks "Hey, that looks like the things I normally eat, it must be safe," but then it turns out not to be safe. Ten is just a hook. Maybe a nice shiny hook, but it doesn't trick you into thinking it's safe. You know it's dangerous right away. Usually, at least.

On a more relevant topic, I grew pretty enamored (perhaps in a more paternal manner) with Lucca back when I played Chrono Trigger. At the beginning, I could only roll my eyes at her paltry defensive/offensive worth, but by the end, she was one fiery powerhouse. I was so proud.

I read this topic thread and thought I was still in the Mario forum. So if it's videogame characters now, that opens things up quite a bit... actually, it doesn't, as most of the other crushes were from cartoons. Let's see, alphabetical order...
- Cavelem Lemming from the "Lemmings 2" box art (looks female anyway)
- Kangoo from "Clayfighter 2". That was a big one there. I was terrible at the game either way, but she was my favorite character. Probably since she was a kangaroo and the only female fighter in that game (excluding Thunder).
- Krystal from "Star Fox Adventures". Self-explanatory.
- Tails from "Sonic the Hedgehog 2". Before I learned he was male.
Of those, Krystal's the favorite. Seeing as how she won a Nintendo Power award for most attractive character, many others seem to think so too. Wonder how much of it was due to the outfit.

Well, she is a videogame character, so she counts. Should have been more specific. And that's partially why I mentioned the NP Awards thing because it seems to validate there are some Nintendo fan furries out there. But then it could also be because of her voice or that ridiculously skimpy outfit.
...I'd think someone out there would be wild for Sonic, and he was part of that Nintendo vs. Sega war, so just wondering if maybe furries were in close proximity during those years.

I don't know, Samus kind of creeps me out in all of those. First one looks robotic (is her left eye inset too much or does she just have an unusually long eyebrow?), second and third ones are slightly better but ruined by how I apparently don't care for bright blond hair. Fusion suit looks good though (I do like blue), not undignified like the Zero Suit. I preferred Samus's face in the Nintendo Power comics. Yeah the blue/violet hair's kind of weird, but she just looks more normal.
Maybe we were better off never seeing Samus's face.
Also, although Fara Phoenix was never a videogame character (just an extra in the Star Fox comic), I had to bring it up because TV Tropes says her last name is pronounced like "fennecs". Took me a while to understand that. Yeah, I guess you could pronounce it like that, Fara Fennecs. But I don't know where on earth that bit of trivia came from, certainly never from within the comic. Screw that, I'm saying it like Phoenix. Like Squeenix but with an F.
I forget if I ever mentioned Jade from "Beyond Good & Evil" or Amaterasu from "Okami". I didn't have a crush on them, but admired them for being strong and for being in two great games.

Good to see that you're making progress in your quest to be exactly like Lizard Dude in almost every way imaginable.
The Forums' default theme is too dark and nocturnal-feeling for my tastes, although I did appreciate the Mario-themed icons. Avatars are merely another form of self-expression to compliment our usernames and signatures.

Plus, official art of the characters is oftentimes pretty inaccurate. See: Yukari Yakumo and Reisen Udongein Inaba (both characters with decent-sized chests) are rendered completely flat in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody.

I was more directing my scorn at LD. I don't think I watch "hipster romance movies" to begin with, so I can't judge your comment too harshly (I'm guessing those are like normal romance movies, but the title art is in faux-handwriting and the soundtrack is 90% bands with pictures of Portland in their liner notes).

If you don't like the Scott Pilgrim game, you probably have no friends and suck at games.
If you like the Scott Pilgrim movie, you must not care that Michael Cera portrays the complete opposite of what makes Scott great, totally lacking the joie de vivre comic-Scott usually has. The movie's VILLAINS were well-done and I liked them but all the "good guys" except maybe Knives were seriously messed. Nega-Scott, indeed.

What's the first?
Not having read the comic before seeing the movie, I thought the movie was great (we need more movies that are well done that also have multiple gaming/pop-culture references like Scott Pilgrim did).
Having read some of the comic, Michael Cera did an ok job.. It's sorta like watching the first two Harry Potter movies: they did what they set out to do, turn the books into movies. Things were left out/changed, but you get that with any book-turned-into-movie.

The controls were bad and it was way too difficult with even two people--also, I had some major lolsony-related save issues. So if it's ideally meant to be played with a joystick peripheral, four people, and a 360... yeeeah, I'll just watch the movie again and play TMNT on an emulator afterwards.

I've had no control issues with the Scott Pilgrim game, and I use a standard 360 pad. Including, yes, the 360 D-pad.
Also, I'm playing single-player, and the difficulty is just right because it means I have to actually learn how the game works instead of trying to brute-force my way through every fight.
It sounds yet again like ShadowBrian is just bad at games and isn't willing to apply any effort toward learning any remotely-complex gameplay system unless it rewards him with T&A (and even then it's unlikely).
