It's just what's on everyone's brain lately. And it made for a funny post. Good on you, CrossEyed.

Twelve years later, that Toad kid is complaining on digibutter.nerr about not getting to play the waifu-petting game

I bet he never even played it.

You want characterization and lore in a Mario game?

Dude, don't worry yourself so much about which game is your Favoriteā„¢. Just play games that you like. Maybe one of them is the one you like the most, but even if it is, that's not even all that important. Maybe a game that is your favorite now will not be your favorite later. Maybe you'll never have one single favorite game. Your favorite game doesn't have to be on your favorite console. Heck, you don't even need to have a favorite game, console, or anything.

I guess my point is chill out a bit. Try not to stress about putting an order to which games you like. Just go play games and have fun.

I thought it was cool. Saw it immediately after watching the original three all in a row. It seemed to fit in well with them.

I've been told by many people that the sequels are fine to skip, so I did. Didn't seem like I was really missing anything.

I finished the neutral and pacifist runs over the weekend, and... yeah. BP kind of already said most of my thoughts about it. Sans is probably my favorite character (although picking a favorite is REALLY HARD) but he's the closest character the game has to a real pal. End of game spoilers: Except for in the No Mercy route in which you will Have A Bad Time with him, and it's actually kind of shocking.

This one's for Weegee.

Undertale is a recent indie game by a guy called Toby Fox, previously a contributor to Homestuck by way of music. (Full disclosure: I thought Homestuck was a webcomic, and didn't know it somehow had music, but that is a different topic altogether.) It's a puzzle- and dialogue-heavy RPG with turn-based battles, in which you dodge enemy attacks by playing a tiny little Touhou, and can also talk your way out of any battle. The dialogue and presentation are very clearly Mother-inspired, and it's funny throughout.

It's on the page that I linked, but here's the trailer for the game again:

There's a demo available on the website that consists of the first dungeon and boss. It takes about a half-hour to play through, so you can easily see if the game is to your liking. I haven't finished the game proper myself, but reports are that it's about six hours long, and also has several different endings, making replays a non-tedious thing to do.

I recommend you check it out!

I'm tempted to believe you.

But yeah you're right. I think I'm a week behind season 2 at this point. I think I like season 2 better than I liked season 1, but that may just be because it's new and fresh in my mind, and all the jokes from season 1 have been done to death within my circle of friends. I don't know. Subjective things are weird and gross.

Rick's car's defense system is terrifying.

I like all of these! I'll admit I couldn't beat Tree Fort or Shroom City, but I love your sense of aesthetics all the same!

Here's one that I made in an attempt to recreate the way that SMB3 airships made me feel when I was 13. Kind of a "holy crap there's so much going on all at once" feeling. Maybe it's harder than those levels really are? I'm not sure, I haven't played through SMB3 in a long time.
