I am surprised no one has acknowledged this day yet. On this day 3 years ago, terrorists gave America a wake up call when they attacked the WTC towers. And it was also the day that I discovered my true patriotism and love for America. That day was the day that Osama Bin Laden shall regret once I track him down and kill him. (Not really.) Man, but I did hate watching that and knowing there wasn't a dang thing I could do about it.

I have decided to retire from making signatures...or is my newest signature in development?

I just feel like the whole thing should be dropped. Here are my points why.

Yeah, sure, thousands of people died and won't come back. But, it has passed the point where everyone should have gotten over it.....

Good thing they won't rebuild the WTC to make it look like we're flipping Afghanistan off. If they did, I'd feel really stupid to live in this already-gone-down-the-toilet-country and jump the next plane to Japan.

Also, I hate it when people say that they're going to go to Afghanistan themselves to kill Osama as if he were just some frail Muslim who couldn't take a punch. He'd most likely put up a good fight and then shoot the person in the head and broadcast it on TV, because he's weird like that.

(Oh, and "Proud to be an American" is one of the corniest songs I've ever heard.)

Jman, I've never said this before, but your constant and overabundant obsession with being patriotic is getting a little old. I'm not saying I hate America, but rather that you shouldn't make a new thread every time something patriotic comes to mind.

I happen to respect you, Jman, for the love and respect you have for your country. It makes me want to be sure that I don't lose my love for America.

Well I think it's sad that you feel that way, Vid. We shouldn't get over that. It needs to be remembered, it really does. Many people died, and there is nothing that we can do about it, but we can thank the maker (God) that it wasn't us. The best way to thank him is by showing our respect to those that were lost on that tragic day. I hate to see poeple that no longer care.

Remember the few days after 911, when the country was all patriotic? Crime was down, and the country was a big family. We just slowly forgot and no one cared anymore. It was going to happen, but we stiull need to recall and pay our respects. One of us could have been on one of those planes....

Thank God we wern't.

I don't think that's what Vid meant at all. All he said was that we shouldn't just revive our anger at people that did something bad three years ago. We should revive our love and patriotism and all that instead. Seriously, instead of holding a personal grudge against someone who will be punished when he's found, why can't we forget the bad part if he'll pay anyway? Actually, I don't like death penalties, but that's... unrelated.

Basically, remembering September 11th should be about coming together as a nation and a tribute to those who died, not an annual "get mad on this specific day at that specific country" thing. That's why wars aren't reinstated every year. Or at least that's what I think.

Not Patriotism, Markio, but you were very close. Love, but not Patriotism. Everyone SHOULD have been grateful for this country even BEFORE the attacks.

Yes, that's what I meant, Marlie, Koopa. We must put bad things behind us. September 11th is one of those.

My father always says "we are going to bomb the country off the map" as if everyone in the country was involved in it. I hate when he says stupid things like that, he doesn't realize that Muslims are good people who worship the SAME god we (well, most of us) do, just in a slightly different way. Why most of the Muslims you see on tv hate Jewish people (They worship the same god as us AND them, in a slightly different way as well) is beyond me (I believe it was for the Holy Land last time I checked), but I can assure you that at least 90% of the people in that country most likely felt sorry for us on September 11th.

Erm... ya. This was a sad day in our nation's history. Much like Pearl Harbor back in WWII. And the firefighters and other people who helped us through 9-11 are the greatest heroes of our time.

And I will say no more, for fear of digression into an "I hate Bush" tirade.

Jman: Our country had been going down the crap hole ever since we broke away from Britain over 228 years ago.

We basically stole land from the natives.
We have had poor countries purchase things from us at very unreasonable prices.
We take things (usually important things) from other countries as if they didn't need it.
We're greedy people.
Ever since we became a world power, we basically pushed around other countries.
Just because we have money doesn't mean other countries can't.

I have three things to say:

1) Unless your name is specifically in the post, it's most likely a general post, except under certain circumstances. Therefore, not all the posts were about your patriotic behavior, Jman, which you probably already know, but I just needed to say this name in post thing.

2) Deezer, that movie is creepy. Maybe it was an anti-warcraft missile aimed badly?

3) If there's one thing I don't like in this world, it's incorrect generalization. I'm not sure what specific statement brought this up, but leave me out of your generalizing groups. I'm my own group. Hooray for individualism.
