Exploding Barrels, the made-up game series by me, was mentioned on Wikipedia! On their article "List of fictional electronic games" (en.wikipedia.org//wiki/List_of_fictional_electronic_games (http://en.wikipedia.org//wiki/List_of_fictional_electronic_games)), one of the games on the list was...
"the Exploding Barrels series of games and their increasingly bizarre sequels (such as Exploding Barrels 5 vs. The Legend of Zelda: In Space!), a series of in-jokes on the Fungi Forums."
Sadly, no one has made an article on EB, nor an article on the Fungi Forums, but this is still pretty cool.

Heh, that's awesome. I love the fact that they also listed the Maddox games from the Video Games you'll never play article. Sadly, I don't think Wikipedia will let you create an article about the Exploding Barrels games since they don't really exist and it's a joke known only to us. I'm pretty sure Uncyclopedia would though, as long as it is incoherent, lacks continuity and includes a quote by Oscar Wilde.

Who made that article, I wonder?
-
Someone with a lot of time on their hands.
-
Only trouble with making an article about TMK is that it would quickly be considered not notable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability).
-
And already was.
-
There used to be an article about TMK? Who made it?
-
Freakin' sweet!!! Errrr.....*ahem*. I mean, "congrats."
-
But TMK is the awesomest thing ever invented since the G.I. Joe public service announcments! It'd be a crime against nature not to make an article about it! At the least they could make a small stub article about it (or Exploding Barrels).
-
Yay! Exploding Barrels will make it to the market one day. Just you all wait. This is all to wicked and FRIGGIN COOL!!! No need to be proper ^_^ :D. You guys know what? You can edit that article. Anyone can, but anyone can remove what you have put, too.
-
I imagine the game will be a combination of Super Smash Bros., Grand Theft Auto, Tony Hawk, Fable, Metal Gear Solid, Black, Halo, EverQuest, and House of the Dead. In other words, a free-roaming massively-multiplayer first- and third-person roleplaying shooter/stealth game.
-
I once had an idea for a game similar to that. It was a mix of Action, Platforming, Adventure, RPG, Puzzle, Fighting, Shooting and Knitting. The game was supposed to star Mario, but now I'm having second thoughts....
-
Sounds like my kinda game. Especially the knitting.
-
I forgot that the game would also have unlockable Game&Watch remakes. All 60 of them.
-
Don't forget the Hot Coffee!
-
Never in a month of mondays....
I also forgot that the game would be part Racing. Silly me. :)

Those plaigarists stole my idea!
-
Those barrels really aren't exploding. They're being smashed up by a monkey in a hamster ball.
-
Well you get the idea. If it explodes, or is a barrel, then it's my property. So therefore, I own the Barrel of Monkeys, and all explosive-related things.
-
Should've got a patent for it.
-
Patent shmatent. Steven Speilberg didn't patent anything, but he still makes darn good hotdogs. Mmm-mm.
-
I'm rather honored to be part of a board that has become so famous. And to have made the box art for Death Kong, the Mario version of Exploding Barrels. Remember it?
-
Whatever happened to Exploding Boxes?
-
After the Exploding Shirts and Exploding Crates series came out, the Exploding Boxes series was never the same.
-
I'm still suprised that TMK isn't notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Fansites, however, are a hard subject to write about. Special care must be taken to make sure it's an encyclopedic article and not just a big ad.
-
Maybe the site admin should be the one to write the article......?
-
That would be a good idea...but which one? (If you can even do it.)
-
TMK still isn't notable enough. Fansites usually only get a passing mention on the page that they're a fan of, if even that.
-
Sometimes they get placed in the 'External Links' section.
-
Yes, that's what I meant. But only the best fansites can be put there- too many and it's considered linkspam.
-
...are you saying TMK isn't the best Mario fansite!?
-
Say it isn't so!
-
TMK is no fansite. It's a disciplesite.
-
I just noticed that TMK is linked to in Mario's article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario#External_links), only beaten by Super Mario Wiki (http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php/Main_Page) (which I've never heard of) and Nintendo's official sites. However, this means TMK is only worthy of an External Links mention right now.
-
Have you SEEN the Mario wiki? It SUCKS, BADLY. The place is lousy with inadequate discriptions, unstarted articles, stuff like that. Or at least it was last I checked.
-
It still is. >_>
-
wow that is funny, but what about kids viewing it?
-
Yeah, they definately need to fix it up. But still, we're linked on Wikipedia! That's like...like...the King of England letting us shine his shoes, or something!
-
Until you realize that Wikipedia is written by a bunch of normal Internet users.
-
But that means that one user thought we were good enough to be there and everyone else who went there thought we were good enough to stay there. It's still quite an honor.
-
Or... it could mean that somebody from here added it, and the article is too worthless for anybody to care enough to bother editing it out.
