Title: koopa kid theory
Post by: kamikaze koopa on March 08, 2003, 08:39:38 PM
So I was playing Super Mario World the other day and something came to my attention.  I don't think they ever actually SAY that the Koopa Kids are Bowser's children (well they do in the show but to be honest I don't consider the show to be canon).  Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that aren't his kids.  But I mean maybe they were just other koopas that Bowser hired or something.  Kinda like boom-boom.  Anyway I just thought that maybe it was a plausable theory.

Oops, I just remembered that nintendo has officially stated that they are his kids.  Sorry about that.

True, Nintendo did say that, but your theory still may be correct.  They are his kids, but he didn't have to marry someone to get them.  They could have been powerful Koopas (or Magikoopas) in his army, and he chose and adopted them as his own.  Of course, the Koopa Kids are all shourded in mystery as to where they came from.

Maybe they're robotic, or bowser can reproduce a***ually

Ewwwwww...

It looks like they are just a group of Koopa's working for Bowser. Although Nintendo did say that the Koopa Kids are Bowser's kids, they haven't been used since Yoshi's Safari, so your theory may be correct.

I have a theory for this in my fanfic as well. I think you'll find it quite interesting.

I think when Mario defeated Bowser at the end of SMB, Bowser was cursed by Kamek and Kamek magically made the koopa kids to teach him a lesson.  They were the brattiest kids, but Bowser came to love them(which was not Kamek's plan).  What ever happened to the koopa kids?  I haven't seen them since Super Mario World.

Mariomania is still running wild! Whatcha gonna do Bowser, When Mario runs wild on you!

You must not have played Yoshi's Safari, then.

No, I've never played Yoshi's Safari. What happens to them?

Everyone has their own opinions, no matter how WRONG they are.

Uhh, you beat them, just like every other game they're in. I don't know if it's their certain doom, because I've never beaten one of them. I'm terrible at that game.

I always figured bowser threw them in the dungeon or something.  I mean there's only so much failure a koopa can handle :-).  You know while we are on the subject of Koopa Kids, theres something that's been bothering me for a while.  Is Bowser Jr. an official Koopa Kid, or do you think he was just a one time thing?

Only time will tell.
Although, Mario Party 4 scrambles the omelette even more.

What do you mean by "scrambles the omelette"?  Oh wait do you mean the little mini-koopa things?  I don't think their actually koopa kids.

Well... when one appears from a Bowser space, they do say something like "I'm one of the Koopa Kids.  What kind of dastardly deed can I do today?"  ...Okay, I don't remember exactly, but they are called Koopa Kids in that game.

Here's my theory:
I say all those Baby Bowsers/Koopa Kids (NOT the 7 Koopalings) are actually Bowser's clones. Bowser Jr. IS his son, but one that's geneticically altered a tad. (HE actually looks a little different from the others.

Ever seen Star Wars: Ep. 2?  It's probably kind of like that whole Jengo Fett thing and everything, only vise-versa on the son/clone genetic thing. This would also explain why they all look EXACTLY like Bowser when he was a kid, except Jr. who's a LITTLE different.

As for the Koopalings, they're a completely different issue.

Why is a theory even necessary regarding the Koopa kids?  Is procreation such a taboo Mario topic that it is inconceivable that Bowser may have fathered children?  I say, his private relations are none of our business, and we should just accept the fact that the koop kids have a mother somewhere, which we will probably never see.

I can't imagine that Bowser would be a very caring father, so he probably just abandoned the seven koopalings after they were defeated several times.  As for Bowser Junior and the mini-koopas that appear in the Mario Party games and SMS, they are probably just more of his children.  Being younger than the koopalings, it is understandable that they look very similar to each other (most babies look very similar to each other, especially to us, another species), and Bowser probably just didn't care enough anymore to give them names.

Bowser just doesn't seem like the type that would have actual kids. Plus, I mean, there had to be a mom, whom he apparently he doesn't give a rip about b/c of his obsession with the princess.

I say the Baby Bowsers are part of a mass clone militia, in order to assist Bowser in his world conquest (I mean, there's TONS of 'em altogether if you count the # of 'em in each game they're in. Plus they all look exactly the same. --And the same as what Bowser looked like as a baby. The Baby Bowsers AREN'T infants--you can tell by the way they talk.)
Jr. is his altered clone so Bowser can have someone to carry on his legacy.

As for the Koopalings...I won't give my theory away; it'll be revealed in my fanfic--if I ever get up to that part.

This is a hard question to answer. The games theirselves and the the cartoons/comics told about the Koopa Kids completely differently. I'm not even sure if there is a real factual answer.

Okay ... this is getting complicated. Why not actually asking Nintendo themselves? At info@nintendo.com. (Can you use HTML on this board? I was going to make the e-mail a'mailto' HTML code but I'm not sure if ... you know.)

No, you cannot use HTML on this board. ...Unless you happen to possess the secret "Powers." ...I'm not even gonna get into this discussion...
