I wouldn't consider the kart games as part of the mass of sports titles, but that's just me.

Racing is technically a sport. But having the Mario Kart series up there kinda ruins the chances for any of the regular sports games, so it might be a good idea to take it off.

Although the Mario Kart series should be taken off, it's still a sports game. I, myself, did not vote for Mario Kart, but for something else.
I have played Mario Strikers before (DEMO), and I think it's still a good game.

I have played a demo of Super Mario Strikers at a local game store. From what I played and from what could be much more, it could possbily be a favorite Mario sport game for anyone!
