What the heck is DS?  And please don't just tell me, please give me an explanation that I would understand, 'cause I don't speak the same language.

Here's a good challenge.  In SM64, at Cool Cool Mountain, try and go all the way to the bottom of the course, then get all the way back up to the top without using the warp.  I actually did it!

General Chat / what they have caused
« on: March 10, 2004, 02:55:22 PM »
Ok, they're supposed to be fun, but here's a brief synopsis of what video games did to me:

Well, I was put in anger management, and now I have to take anger pills, because VGs turned me into one ****ed off SOB.  Not only that, I'm already heavily medicated (ya know, ADHD [Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder], and various other minor mental illnesses), I mean like everyone's obsessed, but I was never able to play a vg for more than 1 hour, then I'd have to go do something else, usually athletic oriented because it's outside or in a rink and the freshness and adreneline are too much.
Now, I hardly ever play video games anymore because 1) I'm too busy, and 2) It's not good for my ****ed offness.
And then there's my impulsion, to do stuff without thinking, constant bets and extreme activities that I'm involved in, such as going out at midnight and climbing poles and streaking neighborhoods.

Yep, my immatureness is a lot stronger than most people, but my anger was caused by video games.

Video Game Chat / Video Games are Fun but...
« on: September 27, 2003, 11:18:22 AM »
You shouldn't spend all your time playing them.

Some people I've talked to do nothing but sit in their house and play games.  I can't stand it.  If it's sunny, i go outside, or I usually go outside anyway.

Then again I don't have much time for video games anymore, with homework, sports, and my social life.  I mean, I am a hockey-lover, I play on the volleyball and basketball teams, I am a member of badminton club, and soccer's around the corner in the spring.  On weekdays I spend after school doing homework, and from 6 - 10 at night it's sports.  So no time for vgs there, and on weekends, I'm usually out with all my friends at the beach or walking around till midnight and doing fun stuff.  The only time I play video games is really early in the morning and late at night (if I have time)  but I can't stand thinking about spending a hot summer day on the tv playing games, rather spent swimming or sumething.

So does anyone else live for sports and not vgs?

Mario Chat / Mario reference in Ice Hockey

In the NES smash Ice Hockey, when you pause the game, it is the exact same pause sound as Super Mario Bros.

This morning I typed in www.classicgaming.com/tmk/tmk.shtml, and this thing came up "You are the 50 000 000 person to visit this site.  congratulations" and they offered me a free vacation, should I take it?

Well, there's been another Mario Reference in the game show "The Weakest Link"

The Question was "Which company produced the game Super Mario Sunshine"

and the guy actually got it right!

Mario Chat / Reference
« on: June 19, 2003, 08:33:15 AM »
There was a Mario reference in "The Fairly Odd-Parents" show.  When the godparents must save Timmy from an ape, he looks exactly like Donkey Kong and throws barrels at Timmy.

Also, in this weeks mailbag, Megabyte said that Culex is not from any Final Fantasy.  He is, however, from Final Fantasy 2.

Is Wario Ware, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ out yet?  The release date said May 26, and I looked at the calendar and realized it was past that.  Is it in stores yet...here?

Mario Chat / Baby Bowser IS NOT Bowser Jr.
« on: March 01, 2003, 02:16:30 PM »
Here's a spectacle to deem differences.  Baby Bowser and Bowser Jr. are not the same people, er, uh, lizard things.  Baby Bowser was simpily Bowser as a Baby, but Bowser Jr. is his son, or a new edition Koopa Kid as I like to say.
