Title: Mario Themes Via Bassoon Quintet

We can watch all sorts of folks play Mario themes on Youtube, but it's not every day you see a quintet of talented bassoonists increase the ranks. A variety of 2D Mario games are represented, including SMB1-3, SML, SMW1-2, perhaps even more! Bassoons (and contrabassoon) aside, the performers manage a bit of beatboxing (sneezing?), adding to the experience.

Feel free to share any unique performances you've witnessed to date.

Bassoons have such an nice tone. I love bassoon solos. (And quintets apparently too.)

I would like to see a ragtime barbershop quartet do these.

I third Chup's post. I wouldn't mind taking up the bassoon. They are very calming and remind me of a nice old man on a wooden porch.

They, however, are extremely difficult to play and get good tone. These players are very good. they make it look a lot easier than it really is because of their skill.

You'd have to get an actual recording. Taking audio off of Youtube would not be... kosher.

EDIT: I wonder if the uploader would be willing to give a duplicate of the original recording.

Do you think they recorded that in stereo in the first place?

And what is the music at 1:24?

And what is the music at 1:24?
That would be the beginning of the shop theme of Super Princess Peach.

If they recorded it stereo you would mainly hear echoes.

What's the part just after the Super Princess Peach introduction to Toad's Shop? It sounds extremely familiar. (2:07)

At 2:07 they're in the middle of "Flower Garden" from Yoshi's Island.
