Perhaps that's what he was referencing.

The Chef becomes the newest villain.
He teams up with marioguy, and the game takes place in the FF.
Good sir

I thought the thread was about possible Mario futures, not possible Fungi Forums futures.

And if I were to become a supervillain, marioguy is the last person I'd team up with.

Disney acquires Nintendo.  Mario becomes a prince.

Nintendo acquires Sega.  Sonic joins the Mario universe.

Nintendo goes third-party.  Mario doesn't change, but is available everywhere.

Mario joins Star Fox.

He was good friends with James McCloud. Then he joined forces with Fox.
Good sir

Yes, because we all know Mario regularly hangs around the Lylat System.

Stop Chef, you're making me very insecure about the Star Fox/Mario fan fic I'm writing.

Also, someone hasn't played Super Smash Bros.

James McCloud isn't in Smash Bros. though.

And I thought as of Brawl they made it abundantly clear that Smash Bros. is set in the "Trophyverse" or whatever you wanna call it.

I'm a fan of companies whose individual series are canon to each other, personally. I've said it before, for Nintendo it's Mario that's hardest to locate with respect to everything else...

My silly prediction for Mario's future:

*Colonel KR stares into his conveniently located crystal ball.*

I see... I see...

Disney buys Nintendo, and the first game they launch is... MARIO MOUSE CLUB (Cue Psycho theme)!!!
