Alright, KinopioToad, I've got the check.  It's at http://www.geocities.com/f1fth/check.gif

It's for the Mushroom Bank in the Mushroom Village.  It shouldn't be a problem; I've got thousands of coins in that account but they never let me withdraw...  Oh, well..

Now.. As for that star...

Don't worry, PenguinWizard, everybody's wierd in one way or another.  'Tis a quality that makes for some very interesting discussion.

Favorite game:  no idea.  There're too many.
Favorite baddie:  the winged goomba.  I've got my reasons.
Favorite character:  That'd have to be Yoshi.

Oh, and KinopioToad, I'd like to buy one of those stars, but I don't think I have enough coins...  Would you take a check?

Here's what I've heard regarding the Playstation 2:

It has good graphics.  That's basically its entire good side.  Other than that, it really doesn't have any very good games.  Game developers complain that it's now won the title of "most difficult system to program for" (I don't remember what was the most diffucult before this, but it certainly isn't a good quality for a system to have,) so it may lose some of the less loyal developers.  Finally, it has a DVD player built in.  Therefore, every time a person buys a PS2 for its DVD capabilities (and there are quite a few of these people) Sony loses money on games.

Of course, eveything I just said I heard second-hand from a Nintendo supporter, but it still sounds like pretty good news..

Ah.  Makes sense.  I guess that's why Yo`ster B. used that pseudo-apostrophe in his name and signature (see Mario word association.)

That's probably the best solution..

Okay, you've done English to Japanese, but do you do Japanese to English, as the subject says?  I've got a list of song titles in (mostly) Japanese and I'm curious as to what they say..

That's how it works.  There's no way (as far as I know) to go back pages without beating the game or clearing the continue data.  In order to open every single level, only one per page can be cleared in a single run-through.  You've got to play through the game at least four times, but if you plan the path correctly (including the number of hearts gotten in a level) you won't have to repeat any one level.

Hmm.. it might be kind of difficult to make a full-length Zelda movie without having Link say a single word...

Oh, how wierd...
You use The Games Factory, Klobber?
Quite interesting.  Do you happen to have a copy of the Super Mario Universe game you made in an easily downloadable location?  I think I should like to see it..

Very strange:  I have also made a game (err, 1/4 of a game) called Super Mario Universe using Multimedia Fusion Express..

So, unless I have my facts wrong, I'd like to see that game you made, if you don't mind.

Hey, daFunkster, by using your new findings as a "guide" (heh heh,) one can find a few more pages:

http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/smb-guide.shtml
Guide to Super Mario Bros.

http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/smw-guide.shtml
Guide to Super Mario World

http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/faq-smw.shtml
Super Mario World FAQ

http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/faq-smb3.shtml
Suber Mario Bros. 3 FAQ

http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/faq-sm64.shtml
Super Mario 64 FAQ

But there were no FAQ pages for Super Mario Bros. 1 or 2.

Hey, I just found a few other old TMK pages!

One was a geocities location so I'm not sure if it counts...

But the others were all at www.classicgaming.com/tmk/encyclopedia/
The Mario encyclopedia was changed to the Mariopedia at www.classicgaming.com/tmk/mariopedia/ and I guess the old encyclopedia name was disregarded.

I wonder if there are any other forgotten TMK pages... ?

EDIT - Wait, I found one more: http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/mpa.shtml

Due to a strange bug in my computer/"DSL" service, my E-mail doesn't work properly.  However, if you want to simply send an E-mail to someone in the forums, just click on the mailbox above one of his/her messages.

Furthermore, I'm being forced to San Francisco today, so I doubt I'll be near a computer around 1-2.  Sorry.

Okay, Marionut#1 :

I think the problem may be the way different OS versions handle .dll files, and I think I've got a solution.

You'll need to run a click installer that'll automatically apply the .dll to your computer.  Unfortunately, MMF can't make these.

HOWEVER, you can simply download an installer from a previously made application.  The most convenient file I've got is a small screensaver at http://members.xoom.com/f1fth/Dpattern.zip which is about 240 kilobytes.  Shouldn't take long to download.

..And if THIS doesn't work...

I haven't planned ahead that far.  It'd better work.

I'd certainly be willing to help on a Mario game, but I'm not sure if assigning worlds is the best approach.  First of all, each person building the game would need the same program and the same engine and graphics and everything, or else the game would seem patched together.  Secondly, even if the same code was used, it would be difficult to add things; it's almost impossible to understand another's code.  Unless you meant the designing of individual worlds, which might work.

Still, it's a good idea, Marionut#1, of course it still needs to be planned/explained a bit more thouroughly..
