Video Game Chat / Re: What are X-Boxes good for?
« on: September 03, 2007, 07:27:19 AM »
The original Xboxes are great for throwing in front of passing cars, but the 360s are good enough to keep.

But in seriousness, I suggest selling the Xbox on eBay. I doubt you'll make much, being that you only have the console and a controller (right?) and there's no demand for that old hunk of junk, but it's better than letting it take up space in your house.

Mario Chat / Re: Yoshi: Playable or ridable?
« on: September 02, 2007, 09:50:21 PM »
I'm always finding myself in need of transportation, so riding Yoshi would be good for me.

Well, that's in real life, if Yoshi were real. I suppose in video games I choose riding him again, like in SMW. He always gave you a nice advantage somehow. But, there is Yoshi's Island, my favorite SNES game... I still think I'd rather ride him, both in-game and, if it were possible, in real life.

Scwhoops. I just remembered I snagged this avatar from DeadAwake. Ahem, I apologize, DeadAwake. But I just love these little guys. They dance for me.

So, DeadAwake has the same image, and WarpRattler's custom text under his image says, "Dance, Bomberman, dance!" How whilst thou explain thyself, ye thieves?

Three things:

Why, oh why, did I have to see two of my old n00bish posts? I can't believe I acted that way online when I wasn't like that at all in real life.

How the heck did this end up in Site Discussion? Did I seriously post it here? I almost clearly remember seeing this is General Chat...must be a mistake.

Lastly, the age limit doesn't really matter when you still have 20-year-olds and up posting "lol rofl u r such a tard" and such on websites everywhere. But, the 13 age limit is a decent, unenforced guideline or something. :/

Well, those in the chatroom already know, but my guitar and killswitch are not at home with me yet.

Yesterday, a little dazed with excitement, we (my dad and I) pulled into the guitar shop's parking lot, only to have the guy I gave my guitar to to give to the other guy to install come out shaking his head. I learned that he apparently underestimated the height of the button and had it up too high, so he has to rewire it and he'll bring it back to me tomorrow (AKA today). Well, I had just gotten my new cell phone a matter of minutes ago, so I was too excited to be all that disappointed.

Well, today finally comes, and I'm in luck, as the day will seem to go quicker due to chapel interrupting the eight periods of pure insanity. And I would even get to play in the middle school chapel (not high school :/), so that in itself was pretty cool. Well, the day finally ends, and after waiting an hour for my ride, I head home and get most of my homework done, eat, and then literally squeal in excitement to the sound of the car going down the road to the guitar shop. We pull up and exit the vehicle and stroll on in.

"Your guitar is not here."

Well, my spirits reached their peak and stayed teetering off the edge. The guy tells me that now something else has gone wrong: the momentary switch I gave the guy to install actually does the opposite of a killswitch: it powers on the guitar when the button is pushed in instead of off. I just kind of say ok and nod my head, and not until I reach the car do my spirits utterly drop down past zero. And that's about where I am right now, even though I shouldn't be so excited about a killswitch. Oh well.

I finally got a cell phone! Went to Radioshack just about an hour and fifteen minutes ago and activated this lovely Virgin Mobile Slice phone. Really awesome. I'm off to buy the Super Mario Bros. Theme Song ringtone for it.
