Title: BEST AND WORST IN SERIES? Week 37: Handheld Mario Game

BEST: Super Mario Land 2 (1) I'll never forget this classic...bored in the car...pull out my Super Mario Land 2. Now has a dead memory battery. Oh well.

Name a Mario remake that isn't.

Best: M&L
Worst: Mario Party Advance. In retrospect, it wasn't that bad. It just failed as, you know, an actual Mario Party game.

I get this feeling this should be about platformers...?

WORST: Yoshi's Island DS. The voice clips! THE VOICE CLIPS! Well, that and the hair pulling difficulty on the later levels. And not the good kind, either.

Best: Hmm.. If we're going with platformers, I'd vote New SMB. If RPG's, M&L: Superstar Saga. If I have to pick one, M&L. Honorable mention to Mario Kart: Super Circuit for being the first handheld MK game.

Worst: Mario VS DK. It looks great and had it's moments, but it doesn't play very well. I don't know how many times I lost a level because of near impossible time limits. Honorable worst to Mario Party Advance: only four playable characters and a game full of minigames where you play by yourself (against the timer, or the Baby Bowsers) is not fun. They could have called it Mario Ware, perhaps..
