I picked Chimchar as my starter. What's better than a flamethrowing monkey?

A flamethrowing Turtle (But Chimchar will probably give you the easiest time out of all the starters).

I was appalled at the lack of originality in Chimchar's evolutionary line's design. It's essentially a monkeyfied rendition of Torchic's stages, complete with a near-identical moveset... Just sayin'.

As Weegee defeated the eighth Gym Leader and collected his badge which would allow him to finally face the Elite Four, he took a brief moment to ponder the unoriginality of the CHIMCHAR evolution path.

That sounds more like Bird Person to me.

Most everything. I find Turtwig's to be the most tolerable family line.
No! I don't want that!

Not that this is the optimal locale for discussing such matters, but I have a few questions regarding this new-fangled #TMK thing:

1. I'm assuming that the @, &, % and ~ symbols beside the mods' and admins' names signify their positions, but what about the plus signs in the green boxes?
2. Is it possible to make styled font in the chatroom? I've tried it there the convential way, but to no avail.
3. Are the other channels affiliated with TMK in some way?
4. Where are the inviting little icons and bright colours at? Honestly, #TMK's layout is more primitive and uninviting than Usenet on a Windows 95.

1. A "+" means Voice status.  It's basically one step above a regular member or guest.
2. I'm not sure what chat client you're using, so I can't say (does it even matter what client you use?).
3. Dunno.
4. Dunno/never noticed.

1. + means voice.
2. You can't do italics.
3. I guess technically the NWR one is.
4. You have never used IRC. Ever. Or an IRC client.
That was a joke.

Then start a new thread you *****

but what about the plus signs in the green boxes?
That means they have "voice", which lets them talk when the room is in mode +m while regular users can't as well as use various retarded !triggers set up by various boneheaded users.

2. Is it possible to make styled font
Bold and underline, yes. Italic, no. Ctrl-B and Ctrl-U do it in mIRC, but I don't know about the Java app.

3. Are the other channels affiliated with TMK in some way?
There are some other channels that consist of mostly TMK people. I recommend #SilicaGelEmpire.

4. Where are the inviting little icons and bright colours at? Honestly, #TMK's layout is more primitive and uninviting than Usenet on a Windows 95.
Welcome to IRC.

Thanks! It's apparent that Java IRC doesn't permit styled fonts. Oh well. While you're at it my darlings,

5. Rolling over my name on the sidebar produces a caption stating, "Java User". Is that like a Custom Title in that only mods and whatnot can change it? Not that it really matters, of course.

6. " !triggers "?

You have never used IRC. Ever. Or an IRC client.

Heck, I hadn't even heard of IRC before this.

1. The + means voice, which is, I guess, the first level of status above regular member. It means you can talk when the channel is in +m.
2. You can do bold and underline, among others, but not italics. Bold and underline are done with ctrl + B and ctrl + U.
3. There are a lot of channels on #tmk's server. Many consist of members that also visit #tmk, but I would not say any are directly affiliated.
4. Yeah it gets pretty boring

No, Java User is your "real name".
That was a joke.

5. As Chupperson said, that's your "real name". You can't change it in Java, but if you have a real IRC client (like most of us), you can set it to whatever you want (within reason).
6. Nothing you need to know about. Most people are sick of them.
