What will Mario Kart on 3DS actually be called?
-
Considering what I've seen and read, the interviews about the story development and the trailers showing Mario trying to find what it truly means to be a go kart racer, I'm expecting something like, Mario Kart: A Racer's Oath
-
Mario Kart: From 8th Place with Love

Mario Kart Arcade: the Lost Tracks (includes tracks that are in the arcade versions)
-
Looking at the naming pattern of previous Mario Karts, only two of them were given [something else] subtitles (Super Circuit and Double Dash!!). The rest of them just had the name or something thereof of their respected platform slapped on to the title (Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Arcade GP, Mario Kart DS, and Mario Kart Wii). As much as I'd like to see [something else], the 3DS Mario Kart will most likely be called either Mario Kart 3D or Mario Kart 3DS.
-
My guess is Super Mario Kart 3D... Nintendo has a way of tacking on the newest system name to the end of their game titles.
-
They haven't put "Super" in front of the title since the SNES, though.
-
They probably should, if it's true
If it's as bad as Mario Kart Wii it'd just be false advertising
-
Wario and Donkey Kong Kart: The Fat and the Furious
-
Schindler's Kart
The Kartrix
Dr. Mario, Or How I Learned to Stop Snaking and Love the Kart

This topic has officially jumped the shark.

Is there even a joke to get there?
-
It is silly! Their car is a dolphin!
-
Who cares, if it's by CrossEyed it's automatically funny.
-
I would buy this.
-
It would be a good game, if it had a *cough*good name.*cough*
Mario Kart²
-
Yes, forget anything else. The title is what determines the quality of the game. What infallible logic.
-
Chill out, he was making a rhyme joke. "Good game, good name."
-
Are you suuuuure?
-
So, Mario Kart 7. Who'd-a thunk?
-
Not even Chef, with his crazy list
Like throwing a fistful of darts and missing the board with all of them, Chef
Like playing Russian Roulette and not firing a bullet after six shots, Chef
-
Nintendo sometimes does such a good job of acting like their old games don't exist, I forget they know how to count.

It's REALLY weird to finally see a numbered Mario Kart, but 7 has some significance as a lucky number, so I can see why they went with it. Also, not having "3D" in every title is nice. Whenever I see "3D" in a game's title I instantly associate it with [dukar]ty PlayStation 1 games.

I associate it with Duke Nukem 3D, personally... Mario with a Devastator on Hollywood Holocaust, anyone?

It's because the 3DS is a 7-bit system.
