Title: The Wii Wheel Hard to Find (in Japan)

Akihabara retailers are having a bit of trouble keeping the official standalone Mario Kart Wii (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/mkwii) wheel on store shelves. Fortunately, Datel Japan's Racing Handle is also being stocked, which sells for less and comes in white or black. Why all the trouble over the Wii Wheel, I have no clue. All I know is that I want that table cover for my next birthday party.

Why would people be buying the standalone Wii Wheel but not Mario Kart Wii? (Yes, I know there are other Wii games where it could be useful.)

Maybe they want extras for when their friends come over?
