And since the book originated from Europe, I'd say that was the original and intended title. Plus, I believe it's only Sorcerer's Stone in USA.

Those who insist on calling the first book "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" owe it to the themselves to call Dragon Quest games "Dragon Warrior" games.

I would call it Philosopher's Stone if I owned the British version, but unfortunately my brain isn't compatible with PAL books.

I'd recommend getting a modchip installed then.

Also, that 800 word prequel JK Rowling wrote and sold for a ridiculously large amount of money (http://www.gryffindorgazette.com/2008/06/11/the-harry-potter-prequel-read-it-here/)

Nope; it originally sold for £25,000, but I assume the buyer was kind enough to share it with the world.
