Video Game Chat / Favorite Main Series Final Fantasy Game
« on: June 29, 2009, 02:01:56 PM »
This ought to lead to a very interesting discussion. The Final Fantasy series has a ton of spin-offs and that's why I haven't included any of them (however it should be noted that Final Fantasy Tactics is awesome). Anyway, my favorites boil down to VI, IV, and VII. VII is certainly the most popular of the three, but it doesn't really stack up to the other two game-play wise. I guess it's just more memorable.

Anyway, VI and IV are hard to choose from because both of them have wonderful characters and stories, as well as very effective battle systems. However I suppose I'll just have to give my vote to Final Fantasy VI. In my opinion it's just every thing that a Final Fantasy game should be.

Also, Chrono Trigger is better than most of the Final Fantasies I've played :).

Fan Creations / SolidShroom's Artwork
« on: June 22, 2009, 04:54:21 PM »

I just threw this together with BP's tutorial. I suppose it can just serve as a demo for my style of artwork, although this is admittedly poor. I draw stuff occasionally though so I figure I might as well make this topic. For one I grew my selections quite a bit too much.

General Chat / Something is wrong with Firefox.
« on: October 21, 2008, 04:53:10 PM »
For some reason, images don't load in Firefox and the window is white and gray. I have a picture. Help please. Internet Explorer and Opera are making me lose sanity at a rapid rate.

Mario Chat / Favorite Course in Super Mario 64
« on: July 24, 2008, 12:14:46 AM »
Pretty self explanatory. When deciding, one should factor in the overall design, the fun factor of scoring stars, and special features or areas, etc.

My favorite is Wet-Dry World, because of the very neat water level ability, the multiple areas, and the cool stars.

This has been done before, but the topic is like 7 years old and not a poll so I decided not to bump it.

Game Help / Stupid Unresponsive DS Lite Shoulder Buttons
« on: June 27, 2008, 02:48:28 AM »
Oh god my R button doesn't work. I've tried wiggling it, pressing it really hard, etc. and it still will not work. My warranty is expired so I can't get it repaired for free, and I don't really want to spend $85.00 on a replacement. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

EDIT: I tried pushing it really hard and it works. I'll probably try to clean it out.

Edit V2: I think it's just about working now.

Video Game Chat / Favorite Brawl Control Scheme
« on: March 09, 2008, 10:20:55 PM »
My favorite way to play Brawl is with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. It feels odd at first, but after a while it feels very natural, much like Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Fan Creations / A project I made in art class
« on: February 06, 2008, 07:24:43 PM »
Our assignment was to take a large, greyscaled picture of a celebrity and cut out each shade of grey and make a corresponding piece with a sheet of construction paper. I think that mine turned out fairly well. The identity of the celebrity who I picked is quite obvious. This isn't the whole image, however, because my scanner is kinda small.

When you read a book, I'm sure none of you read it cover to cover without stopping, so what method do you use to mark your pages. Personally I just find a random object to use as a bookmark, like money or a receipt. I've always been against dog earing pages, although I don't give my books extreme care or anything.

Also, first person to make an internet browser joke will be hunted down.

Video Game Chat / Free Half-Life 2 Contest
« on: December 30, 2007, 01:20:14 PM »
So today I got the Orange Box for PC, and I didn't need the copy of Half-Life 2 that came with it so I can give it to any steam account for free, since I have a copy of it already. So I think I'll give my copy to whoever can make me laugh hardest. The contest ends Wednesday at 10:00PM EST. Good Luck. And anyone can enter, because it's free to make a Steam account. Just a word of motivation, Half Life 2 is the best FPS ever but you need a 1337 computer to run it.

Mario Chat / Favorite Rainbow Road
« on: December 14, 2007, 10:10:56 PM »
So, the ever reoccurring Rainbow Road stage of the Mario Kart series. Which one is your favorite? Mine is Mario Kart 64's because it wasn't annoyingly difficult, but still a load of fun, and it was quite long.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Galaxy
« on: November 13, 2007, 04:04:49 PM »
Most people have got it today, and while there are a few that are really into it, I think a majority of us are just beginning the game. So, I'd like to know what everyone thinks. I think that for once, a Wii game has given me a great first impression. The camera angles aren't half bad, the cinematics are decent--so far--and the control scheme, like 64, is as smooth as butter. While this may be a strange belief, Galaxy kind of feels like a Ratchet and Clank game.

Video Game Chat / Awesome Internet Games

Does anyone know of some awesome and addictive internet games? There are probably quite a few gems out there that I've never played.
