Mario Chat / Mario's Picross Hidden Sound Test
« on: April 03, 2012, 08:31:22 PM »
Recently I stumbled upon what is a fairly incomplete sound test that resides within the Mario no Super Picross ROM (and also Tamori Picross), but not the NP Volumes, nor either Game Boy Mario's Picross games.

I think the developers gave-up partway through as none of the looped versions have been programmed. Still interested in the other functions of the Tamori no Picross sound test because it seems like they were heading towards possible Soundlink test or some sorts, but they actually crash the APU.

I'd like to own a real Famicom cart though I'm unsure if Google is actually going to sell it, or if that was indeed another April Fools joke.

Same thing happened to me, but in the NES version. I'd like to know where that unused jingle listed in the SNESmusic set is actually used, if, at all.

For other reasons, some obvious and some not, I'm casting my vote towards Ron Paul.

A trap door where I hold my prisoners filled where snakes and poison-dart frogs are force fed to them until each and everyone slowly and painfully dies.

I only have composer info for these games, sorry. Yoshi (no Tamago) games... Junichi Masuda composed the music. Yoshi's Cookie? For the SNES version, Noriko Nishizaka... may also apply to the GB and NES versions as well but I can't confirm these. Same Game Mario is Tawayuki Iwabuchi who also composed a few other Hudson games like Super Bomberman 5 and was the Sound System Programmer for Mario Party;

Pumped up Kicks - Foster the People (probably the best song to come out in 12 years, and i know this was produced last year.)
Second song I'm listening to: Steve Collett, Andy Brock - [Stargate] Flying the Death Glider (SNES).

Video Game Chat / Re: Why are game companies bringing back old stuff?

Glad they are bringing back the old stuff. I doubt they will take it further by reviving older consoles like the SNES, NES, and Game Boy. I'm sure most of you know how I feel about the modern gaming industry, so...
