Does anyone know of a program to edit sprites on the Super Mario Bros. (NES) rom?

I know of one for SMB3 and another for SMW, but not for SMB.  I am sure someone has made one, or there are simply a lot of people with hex editors, because I have seen several SMB edits including hatless Mario.

I use MS Paint for my sprite editing. All you need is the x8 zoom function.

Yes, I have done sprite editing. ... Wait, wrong kind of editing. Never mind.

I can be such an idiot sometimes.

Umm that's not what he meant.  There are several programs for sprite editing (they aren't specific to just SMB).  You can find them here or here .  Alternatively, you can edit them right in NESticle and other emulators and save it.
