Earlier today, Nintendo released launch details for Wii a mere two months before its US release of November 19, 2006. One confirmed launch title for Japan is Odoru Made in Wario (WarioWare: Smooth Moves), releasing along with the system on December 2.

Also announced was Mario Party 8, which appears on Nintendo's Japanese software lineup.

Finally, it's official: Super Paper Mario and Donkey Kong Bongo Blast, two games originally announced for GameCube, have moved to the Wii for 2007.

I can even tell how excited I am to know what to expect from Wii. Now I know when I have to have the money for Wii. This is completely awresome (typo intended).

On WarioWare...

I had a feeling it would be a launch game.

On MP8...

It was inevitable. Hopefully this one will be a breath of fresh air.

On SPM...

Guess it makes sense considering how close to death the GCN is. But how will it make use of the Wii-mote?

On DKBB...

This is an odd one. The folks on DKU aren't going to be happy about it.

I don't know about that. I'm sure glad the game still exists.

So is the Gamecube still going out in style?

So is the Gamecube still going out in style?

I can say at this this point, it's only going out with half the style we thought it would be going out with.

I'm dissapointed that there will be a MP8. I actually thought that they were going to lay the MP seris to rest after MP7, but alas, MP8 has been announced. I guess that the wii-mote could either breath new life into the seris, or not.

But I'm really excited about the announcement that WW:SM will released around the wii's launch date. I'm a big fan of Wario Ware, so as you could imagine, I like this news. *Puts on his Wario Ware hat* I can't wait!

I was hoping they'd make a Mario Party for the Wii, and my prayers were answered!
I'm certain this advent will be a great revival for the MP series. I can't wait! ^_^

All right!
I was a little worried I would'nt be seeing another Mario Party, but it's finally been confirmed. I hope the graphics are better, though...
I remember seeing an IGN page that stated it would be released on October 3rd. I should probably visit that page again to have a good laugh.
Cool to know the Wii won't be released last.
But it kinda bugs me that we can't get SPM and DKBB on GCN. It's not like those games need to be released on Wii. Looks like we don't get a pleasant Mario GCN goodbye game. Shame on you, Nintendo. I thought this info was gonna be released tommorow, actually.

Sweetness. I was hoping SPM would be released after the Wii so I'd be able to be among the first to play it. November 19th... a sunday. Nice. Time is running out to preorder. I'd better get my mom to take me to town.

Does anyone know a site to preorder from? Can I preorder online? Should I sell my gamecube in the PennySaver in case my mom says she won't buy it for me because of the price? I actually wanted SPM to come out for the GC. It was hoping for it. Half-style. Yeah.

Well, I'm a little disappointed that SPM isn't a launch title, considering it's original release date. Especially since MP3 has also been pushed back to 2007. Well, at least Bongo Blast wasn't cancelled, and Wario Ware is still on. I expect Mario Party 8 to come out around Christmas here in America.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

The time when we get Wiimotes is not the time to put Mario Party to rest.

oh God...

Not ANOTHER Mario Party?!?!?

oh well, I guess I will just have to live with it. As for the other games, I never expected SPM to go Wii.

As for getting a job, theres always room for McDonalds. (I guess =P)

I'm not a fan of the Mario Party games, but have bought several different ones.  Maybe that's insane.  Regardless, I plan to also buy any Wii Mario Party title.  I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up my "buy every registerable Nintendo game/system" though.

Maybe he is saying that since there is no Mario Party collection they have not gone too far, but I think the Mega Man Anniversary Collection is one of the best things since sliced bread (on the PS2).  I'm not sure what it would have been better than before sliced bread though.

I have just been reminded how much I want a Mario Annverary Collection, with all the major NES, GB, and SNES Mario games on it. This list basically:

-SMB
-SMB2
-SMB USA
-SMB3
-SML
-SML2
-SMW
-YI

For the 8-bit games, there could be an option to play the original 8-bit version, or the 16-bit version from SMAS (I'd also love to see them make a 16-bit SML). There could also be an option to play a dumbed down easy version of each game, or a beefed up hard version of each game (as id SMB2J could get any harder). Lastly, they'd have to have hidden games. Preferably really obscure ones.

Iknow this is off topic, but for some reason I'm in the mood to write game ideas.

[offtopic]I MAKE game ideas. (They don't get very far though)[/offtopic]

Well, I don't know what else to say besides that Megaman has made a LOT of games which seem to be re-incarnations of themselves.

Anyone else reserved their Wii yet? I went yesterday at around 10 am and got mine "safely" secured.
(Even though their disclaimer reads that the reciept does not gaurantee getting a system available at launch...)

Even though I look forward for a Wii for Christmas, my sister advised me that I shouldn't get a Wii right when it comes out. I would have to wait and have it purchased at a later time (during mid-December maybe). The reason being is that there is the possibility that the first version of Wii could have some terrible defects, just like the XBox 360 had during its initial release (overheating and crashing were frequent problems, if I remember correctly). New versions would be released afterwards with the defects corrected.

Now, before all of you bludgeon me with clubs marked "Nintendo systems were never faulty at release wtd are you talking about", I am just saying this as a word of caution that I had received. Neither my sister nor I cannot predict the future. This is simply a hypothesis based on past events with other game systems ("none of the ones you are thinking about were made by Nintendo you ignorant swine").

I don't mind MP8 as long as it is better than MP's 5 & 7, especially 7 due to the enormous amount of 'luck' the computer seems to have. As for SPM, I would've prefered it for the GC rather than the Wii. Oh well....

I heard something on wikipedia that MP8 was going to continue with the same characters as MP7. Hopefully the they will add more.

I hope they make MP8 online.

Aww, they moved SPM to 2007. I thought I was going to get it really soon, then it got moved.

I can't imagine who'd want to play Mario Party online. Not when you could play something such as Warioware or Wii sports instead.

You can\'t be serious, Mario Part 8 o9nline would be much better than playing a computer all the time.

What kind of memory card will the Wii use? This is a question I have been wondering about.
