Nintendo has not announced these games, but they've all been rated E for Everyone by ESRB.

    * Duck Hunt
    * Hogan's Alley
    * Kid Icarus
    * Kirby's Adventure
    * Pilot Wings
    * Pro Wrestling
    * Punch-Out
    * Wild Gunman

Edit:  Hmmm.  Could the next Mega Ton for Wii be that these games will be playable with the Wiimote's gyroscopic and pointing capabilities?

Does SMRPG being on the list mean the it will be at launch? Or at list in the VC in general?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Not launch, but probably the launch window.  They plan to add about 10 a month I think.  The ones I posted have just been rated so Nintendo can include them anytime.  I think added a few at a time is a good idea because it will get Nintendo free publicity every month.

Well SMRPG was rated K-A the first time it came out too...
That was a joke.

Note I said "too," implying that it had already been given an E-equivalent rating when it first came out. I am well aware that K-A was changed to E.
That was a joke.

Did I miss it, or is SMB not on any of the above lists of VC games?  If so, could Nintendo have something up their sleeves for SMB?  Oh wait, it's on the Japanese list.  No fair.

My mom actually wants a Wii...and if she gets one I'd want to know something about this download program...(my mom has always been into video games, she still has an Atari in her bedroom...she's more into games than I could ever dream of being; mu uncle and grandpa is where I got the baseball love from)

If I already have the games on the list (specifically Mario Kart 64) could I show proof of purchase and not have to pay the points? I have the original box, manual, quick reference card, and even player's guide offer for all of my games. I just think it sounds sort of silly to have to pay for a game I have owned for nearly ten years again, so I am hoping this is the case if I can somehow provide proof of ownership? Unfortunately the Toys R Us reciepts from April 1997 have long been scrapped...

It's quite simple. You buy points at Target or someplace that would sell Wii-related products in card form. 100 points is the same as one dollar. You use the points (haven't actually done that yet, ask someone else for more details) to buy the games through the Shop Channel, which requires the Wii to be connected to the internet.
But where are all the good games for us American peoples? When SMRPG is available here I will gladly use my hard-earned and/or pinched from lunch money on Wii points. That is, if it can be played using the GameCube controller. From what I can tell, you don't have to buy a Classic Controller if you've got a GC controller. Most of the games I looked at, including SM64 are GC controller-compatible. NES games actually just use the Wiimote. I'm assuming you would hold it like this and use the 1 button as B and the 2 button as A.
And I'm rambling again.
All your dreeeeeeams begiiin to shatterrrrrr~
It's YOUR problem!

In answer to Aber's question, do stores let you get the DVD free if you own the VHS?
