Title: Re: Help with Chrono Trigger
Post by: LieutenantEagle on November 17, 2002, 02:04:48 PM
Hmmm....no one plays Chrono Trigger.  Oh well, I killed the final Lavos, so I don't need help anymore.

You people should really get Chrono Trigger.  It's the best RPG of all time, except for Paper Mario.  Yes, FFX loses to Chrono Trigger, something that was made like 10 years ago!  It's a great game, with excellent graphics, superior storyline, and the only disadvantage I can think of is that it was made by Square.  Then again, Square is bankrupt.

Mario RPG is the best RPG.

Yes. It is.
And Lt. Eagle, why is it bad that Chrono Trigger was made by Square? They're cool, for the most part. The only thing that I find weird about them is that they use the same names over and over...
And I do play Chrono Trigger. I'm stuck in 2300, though.

Where are you stuck?  I can help you out.  I'm guessing several things.

1.  You are stuck because you can't kill the Guardian robot.

Resolution: Equip Crono with the Berserker.  Get to the Guardian.  Your first job is to take out the BITS - if you take out one, the robot can't execute the Delta Attack, its strongest move.  Then take out the other bit.  Now, Crono will just auto-attack, Lucca should use Flame Toss, and Marle should attack and cast Aura to heal every so often.

2. You are stuck with the secret entrance [emulator error].

Resolution: The L+R+A glitch.  Make your emulator a special command to execute the LRA combo.  I used the keyboard button 'H'.  Most people use 'M'.

HAHAHAHAHA
I went and checked and it turns out I was way past that, and I didn't even realize! (Wrong save state, evidently...)
Now, I'm about to face Magus. Exactly how in the world does he get to be in the party?

You are way too low leveled. Simply train some more. BTW, why are you posting Crono Trigger stuff at a Mario forum?

Why are you responding to a topic of three-month-old cheese? (Inside joke.)

Anyway, in answer to your second question, because Chrono Trigger is a good game.

I have a Chrono Trigger question. Where can I get a copy nowadays? It is the single "old" game that I'd like to own most right now.

Everyone has their own opinions, no matter how WRONG they are.

Check Vimm's Lair, at http://www.vimm.net
Otherwise, look in your local game shops.
Then, there's always eBay...
