I didn't see one here, so I thought I'd put up a Pokemon topic. Do you have any Pokemon games? If so, which ones? What Pokemon do you have? Have you ever beaten the Elite Four?
I've never even been to the Elite Four. After I get 8 badges, I start it over. Now I will post my teams of Pokemon in all my games. Be warned- the majority of them have corny nicknames.

I own pratically all the main Pokemon RPGs except for Emerald and XD. I lost Yellow years ago. Right now my only active teams are my Colosseum, Ruby and Fire Red team.

I changed the game's coding so the max level would be 500. I also made it so each level I gain +10 to every stat. I created MewIII by my friend's program. She's really smart with this stuff. And she showed me how to code the game too. I'm a cheater... XD

Heh. Upon turining on my Gameboy, I noticed that I started a new game in Blue. I have a Squirtle AKA "KILLER" and a Metapod (with Tackle) AKA "RAINMAKER." I think I tried to name them very angerly. I regret deleting my old game. I never gave them nicknames, but they are all level 80+. This makes me sad.

I've played Emerald within an inch of its life. My team;
Treeky/SCEPTILE (Physical sweeper. Pwns with Aerial Ace, Return and Leaf Blade. Also Pursuit is there.)
Raichu/RAICHU (My electric-counter. Thunderbolt and Thunder Wave are good for Flying/Water types, but also Dig. Strength for final move.)
Gya-Yuwei/GYARADOS (Needs a lot of work. Surf, Ice Beam, Fire Blast, Twister.)
(Censored)/DODUO (Heh. HM King, sorta.)
Sol Smashr/SOLROCK (Soo proud of my Solrock. Secret Power, Confusion, Rock Throw, Overheat. Must get White Herb)
Sya-Gen/SHARPEDO (The HM Prince. Dive, Crunch, Rock Smash, Cut.)
I'm planning to replace Doduo with Latios eventually. I just beat the final Gym. Very tough, the opponent's Kingdra ran out of PP for everything except Double Team. Thank goodness for Aerial Ace.

I always give my Pokemon in Yellow a common theme between their nicknames. Once, I had a Goldeen named PBandJ and a Lapras named Banana. Oh, and an Aerodactyl named... Oreo.

In Emerald, I'm currently training for the Elite 4. Maybe I should either catch Rayquaza, or level up all my Pokemon to 55. Which should I do?

Both. Rayquaza does pretty well against that Dragon trainer. But even with Rayquaza, the battles will be hard if you don't level up your Pokemon to at least 50. (I once threw just ONE ultra ball when battling Rayquaza, and it was MINE! Just ONE! I'm NOT kidding!)

Emerald is too easy, I've played it too much. If you want a challenge, try downloading Pokemon Netbattle... you'll get put up against some really good trainers, I have a horrible streak there.
BTW, my name in Netbattle is Cool Trainer Mitch.

Netbattle?!?!?! Pokemon battles on the internet?!?!?! That sounds like the coolest thing since Ditto kicking!!!! (I hate Ditto, that's why I like to kick it...)

Yeah, Netbattle is awesome... a little addictive, however. Playing on it, I noticed that there are awesome battlers on the net, not to mention you can use any Pokemon, and teach it any moves it can learn. I have a Sceptile with Aerial Ace, Leaf Blade, Dragon Claw and Crunch. Really useful.
BTW, I'd post a battle example here, but some of the battles take ages.

I'm playing Pokemon, talkin' on the Fungi Forums and doin' my work at the same time. I sure can multitask.
The reason I hate Ditto is because I can't catch the stupid thing, and I really need it... for breeding purposes... DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!

What scares me is that I haven't played Pokemon in about 7 years or so, and yet I STILL remember my final lineup from blue version when I quit:
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise (hey, I like the starting forms), Zapdos, Gengar, Mewtwo. I tried to cover about as many bases with the types as I could.
I essentially quit once they added 100 to the first 150. Got annoying to keep track of.

I agree. The number of Pokémon they have today is absurd. Having so many Pokémon makes it harder for them all to be unique. And the new Pokémon have distinctly lost that special Pokémon flavor to them. Some of them greatly resemble something I'd expect to see from Digimon. I stick to the 3 original games. I tried to play Silver when it first came out, but eventually stopped playing.

Wasn't it fun when there were only 151 of them? Pokemon has been tainted with the thought of "more monsters means more fun!" Sadly, it is not.

Right now, there are 395 Pokemon. You can only catch 386 currently, but here are some from Diamond and Pearl:
Bonsly, Sudowoodo's pre evolution. Rock type.
Manyula, Sneasel's evolution. Ice/Dark type.
Munchlax, Snorlax's pre evolution. Normal type.
Manene, Mr. Mime's pre evolution. Psychic type.
Rukario, new legendary. Star of 8th movie. Steel/Fighting type.
Tamanta, Mantine pre-evolution. In 9th movie. Probably Water/Flying type.
Perappu, a brand new Pokemon. Resembles a macaw. Probably Normal/Flying type.
Buizeru, another new Pokemon. Sorta looks like an otter. It could be heaps of types...
Manaphy, a new legendary Pokemon. Stars in 9th movie. Probably Water type. (-_-')
I agree, the original 151 were good... but, there are exceptions to this rule. I like many of the Johto and Hoenn Pokemon, and hate some of the Kanto *coughOddishcough*.

WAY too many new ones. I mean, almost 400? And there's nothing legendary about them anymore, there's so many freaking legends all these things may as well be coming from children's books. Well, the Gold-Silver-Crystal era was the best, in my opinion. The Red-Blue-Yellow is second, but it was a bit too simple. GSC has the perfect balance of new goodness and old simplicity.

I say they should get rid of some of them before adding more. No-one likes Oddish, right?
BTW, I hope Diamond and Pearl are good games. If they stick with those kiddy storylines, I'm gonna go psycho and make my own Pokemon fangame. We NEED better storylines, Gamefreak!
My dream game: A Pokemon game, starring the characters of my fanfic, in a new region, with Missingno as the final boss, and the ability to go back to Kanto, Johto and Hoenn.

Most non-evolved Pokémon are pretty weak, doesn't mean they should be removed

Sorry, I have an ongoing grudge against Oddish. Long story.
But, what's up with all these baby Pokemon? Most of them don't even serve a purpose, except for Pichu (who, if Pikachus/Raichus breed with a Light Ball held, can learn Volt Tackle, one of the best electric moves in the game). They drive me INSANE. Baby Pokemon from the beginning are okay, but... yeah, sorry, I'm just in a bit of a weird mood right now.

The Baby Pokemon are mostly to get more younger kids interested. Kids like cute and cuddly creatures. Me too. ^_^ Although you gotta admit, Elekid ain't that cute.
Oh, wait! Baby Pokemon serve another purpose! If it weren't for Wynaut, Wobbuffet wouldn't learn Splash, Charm or Encore, all of which are p-o-c's, but I'm makin' a point here! Baby Pokemon usually keep some moves the evolved forms would never learn when they evolve. Oh yeah, Jess made a point!

Neither's Magby. What is that thing, anyway? I don't get it. Kyogre is cuter than Magby and Elekid. :P
XD Why would you want to teach a Wobbuffet Splash, anyway? Magikarp is the only Pokemon that reveals the true potential of Splash, mainly because Magikarp are awesome and highly difficult to train at times.
Anyway, that's my two cents. *Goes to catch more Magikarp*

I dunno why, it's an example. And don't go dissin' Magby. Lemme check some stuff... *gets out Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen book* Smoochum can learn Ice Punch and other things that Jynx can't. Elekid can learn Rolling Kick and other things that Electabuzz can't. And Magby can learn Thunderpunch, what a shocker... Yes, that bad pun was intended.

It does?!?! My official game guide said it don't, and this is comin' from Nintendo Power. I guess even the greatest of us make mistakes. ... Not meanin' me, of course, I'm not that conceited, I meant NP.

The official game guide? Yeah, that makes a fair few mistakes. It says to use Pikachu against Graveller, etc. For movesets, always use www.psypokes.com - it's got a full Pokedex with stats, locations, moves, and even recommended movesets.

I beat Pokemon Blue once. Then, my brother took the game and assaulted it with his BB gun.

That's because you always restart after the last Gym! My advice- go up against the Elite 4, try to win. If you lose, you lose a bit of money, but if you manage to take down a few Pokemon, you get a handy bit of EXP. If you win, save then tackle the next member.
BTW, I'm gonna name my Blastoise 'Bathtoys' after I saw it on a Pokemon forum. Oh, and I want to play at least one of you in Netbattle!

I'm not sure how many of you guys have heard of this, but there is a program that allows you to battle your Pokémon online. It's called Pokémon NetBattle (http://www.tvsian.com/netbattle/download.htm).
I've used it in the past, but not since it was updated. It was a swell little program, with a large volume of players, many of which who were well experienced. I'll certainly vouch for the validity and quality of the program.
It's possible to set up your own server, so if enough of you were interested, you could start up your own TMK server to battle each other with. I'm not sure where I had first learned of this program, and it very well might have been this very forum. If that is the case, feel free to ignore this post and continue using the program. In either case, have fun.

I'd be more than willing to set up a TMK server... except, I forgot to install the Server tools for it.
BTW, my username is now Metal Mewtwo Mitch. I usually go to Bleepland, Pokerealm or Smogon. Hopefully I can try and get a TMK server up soon. That is, if it's okay with the staff... *makes an expression that resembles a puppy*

I never gave my pokemon nicknames, but on one of my blue versions, I gave them all nicknames, so... yeah. They're all kinda cutesy, but then again, so am I.
Flareon - FAWKSIE: last-minute thinking, wanted a name like "foxy", but spelled differently.
Pidgeotto - KALA: the name of a parakeet my family used to have.
Graveler - RUMBLY: well, I think it's cute...
Kingler - CLAWSY: I think this name is cute too... 'cause he's got those big ol' clawsies!
Kadabra - QUASAR: Remembering the star on his forehead, I wanted a name that sounds celestial.
Ivysaur - SPIKE: Venusaur reminds me of Spike from The Land Before Time.

I try to keep my teams balenced. That way, it's not too hard for me to beat this one guy or girl.
Over the NetBattle subject, I'd probably have to ask my parents first if I was gonna download it. They get angry when I have private things on the internet that I hide from them. :(

Put Groudon out first... switch to Sceptile with Solar Beam... keep substituting and leech seeding, then keep switching depending on type. I have a major lack of water moves, but Groudon's ability would wreck them anyway, and I dislike Kyogre in NB, because it's overpowered. Yeah...just wondering. I've beaten Silver, but I lost it shortly afterward. I also beat Blue, but I lost that until very recently when I bought a Blue Version at a used game dealer. It turned out to be the one I lost! (very strange) I have Yellow, but I've never beaten it. In Crystal, thanks to the Versus Books Guide ;-) I am in Saffron City about to beat Sabrina. My brother has Red, which he beat thanks to the rare candy cheat, and LeafGreen, which he hasn't. He also has gold, but he keeps restarting.

I can't believe it.
With a team of sub-Level 48s, I managed to beat three of the Elite 4 in Leaf Green. Don't ask me how, because I don't know how. Now, I'm focusing on getting all my Pokemon to Level 60 and retrying the E4.

It's a great idea to create a NORMAL Pokemon game (no, Trozei doesn't count) for the DS. They could have a consistent menu on the bottom screen showing the pokemon status screen and you could change the mode to show Pokedex, your character's status, etc.

Holy wow, I just went on a rampage with my Poke'mon Red game for the good old Gameboy Color. How fun it is. ;-)
Normally I would name the main character after myself, but this time I thought differently. Who would I rather be; a poke'mon, or some guy who tries to catch poke'mon? The choice was obvious. Therefore, I named the main character "A Guy" and my brand-spanking new squirtle after me! :) And I decided to name every other poke'mon I caught after one of my friends. The way I decided upon this was by looking at the poke'mon that I was fighting, and thinking of whether or not they reminded me of one of my friends. If they did, they're poke'ball food.
So far I have:

Pidgeoto: Level 19

I completely agree with that. I honestly don't know why Nintendo has this huge paranoia about putting a normal pokemon game on consoles. I guess they think stuff like Pokemon TV and Pokemon Snap are better suited for the consoles, which is kind of stupid.

I got a Feebas, fed as many Pokeblocks it would take (beauty ones) and no Milotic. I had a Feebas, before I sold Ruby.
The only remaining Pokemon game I have left is Gold. I sort of cheated on it, as I did the ol' "trade and trade back" method to get most of my Pokemon. Otherwise, I have billions of Level 100's. Even Mew and Celebi.

If FireRed/LeafGreen were on the Gamecube:
- The Gym leaders and your rival would do some sort of dance/cool pose before the battle started.
- The attacks would look coolies. ^_^
- You wouldn't need the Running Shoes to run around.
- When you're on the bike, it'd look super coolies.
- They'd probably have new 3D Pokemon models.
- The characters could have VOICES(though they probably wouldn't do that)
- Umm... I can't think of another thing, sadly...

I thought they should have made a 3D version for a non-portable system that was pretty much similar to other Pokémon games but when you got into a trainer battle the 2 creatures fought each other in real time, being able to use all of their attacks.

386 Pokemon, not including all the Unown and Deoxys forms, and also the Diamond/Pearl Pokemon I mentioned earlier.
Besides, some of the newer Pokemon are cool. Altaria is an awesome battler, Metagross has an awesome type combo, Treecko is too cool not to like, and Milotic is the most beautiful Pokemon in existence (so the Pokedex says).
So, no-one wants to be in my fangame? Aww :(

Okay! I'll make you the Balance Leader, like Blue in G/S/C. btw, all of the Gym Leaders have themes, not types. There are Dojos, which contain types, but they use deadly strategies and are much more difficult than the Gyms.
I'd like to be a Gym leader. I could have Dark-type Pokemon, that hasn't been done in a Pokemon game.
There's also a Light type in my game... would you like to control that as well, or just Dark?

Well, here's an alternate Eeveelution called Sleeteon. It was made by Neptune's Disciple of the PE2k forums. Ice types, w00t! ^^
btw, GiftedGirl, I'm also reclassifying some old Pokemon. Slowking will now be Water/Light, and Swablu will be Light/Flying. There may also be some others. Also, there will be a Light and Dark legend, as well as a secret final boss.

I made it Dragon because if you look closely, all of the Eeveelutions (apart from Eevee, of course) are Special-typed. Otherwise, I would have made it Ghost type.

I'm a big fan of these pokemon Bulbasaur (First pokemon I ever saw) Pidgeotto, Haunter, Ninetails and some others that I can't think of right now. I like the older versions like Gold and Silver cuz you get to go to Johto and Kanto which makes for a longer game.

I've decide to change my vote for Pokemon in SSBB to Deoxys and Lukario. Wehave a super -powerful Pokemon fro mthe 1st generation, now we need one fro the 3rd and upcoming 4th. Please don't say anything to the effect of "upcoming characters can't be in" because they can. Roy was placed in SSBM to advertise for FE6, which hadn't been released yet. So I think Lucario should be in there to balance it all out. I just hope Jiggs and Pichu aren't removed. They're pretty good.

My thoughts exactly. I forgot to make this chart before, so:
Mascot: Pikachu
Sidekick: Jigglypuff
1st Gen: Mewtwo
3rd Gen: Deoxys
4th Gen: Lukario
Clone: Pichu
Out of these, the sidekick and the clone are probably the most likely to be removed. Jiggs was almost taken out when SSBM was being made, but was spared after an outcry of Japanese Pokefans. I just hope Sakurai doesn't try that again. I also hope Pichu doesn't get booted either, but he's the clone, that means he's the likely candidate(though it pains me to say it).

I'd be sad for Pichu if it wasn't for the fact that he's worthless. I doubt Jigglypuff will get cut as she is one of the original 12 characters from the first Smash Bros.
In other news, I'm glad to hear that Diamond and Pearl will have a time system similar to Gold/Silver.

He's not worhtless. Some people play better with him than they do with Pika. But seeing is how their redesigning each character's physics from the ground up, Pichu will probably get thrown out. :(

The rival was hard... I beat Venusaur easily with Moltres and Pidgeot, but his Arcanine swept almsot my whole team, except for Snorlax, who I gave Surf because Blastoise had run out of PP for it. It was a 3HKO as Snorlax swept using Surf while Arcanine unsucessfully used Extremespeed.

I've beaten the E4 about 13 times. They're really easy to beat!
I've caught almost every pokemon in the game using the duplication method. I even have some pokegods! But... they're all glitchy and have these moves:

Really weird. To get those, use the Gambler Trick. For some, you must use a Gameshark.

Something similar to that happened to my Red cartridge when I still had it ( =( ) after catching a Missingo. I soon found a Gym Leader in the water...Blane, I think was his name? Anyway, I had to erase my current game for it to function properly.

Missingno is my favorite pokemon, but I've never cought one. I don't want to lose a save.

You don't get your file erased if you catch Missingno. If you don't feel like clicking on the link, there's four steps in the beginning (file names found through hacking):
1. OLD MAN overwrites name file.
2. OLD MAN ITEM overwrites items file.
3. OLD MAN SPRITE overwrites sprite file.
4. OLD MAN POKEMON overwrites pokemon file.
Now the interesting part...
All of the stored data is stored in areas where wild pokemon appear. When you run into a pokemon, your saved data is restored...? Not really. On the right strip of land/water on Cinnibar Island, the programmers made a fatal error. No data for wild pokemon to appear was programmed, but the area was programmed to have pokemon. That results in catching pokemon from the last area with wild pokemon programmed to appear, so Missingno. is actually all of your data. Your data looks like a big block. Missingno. has a hex code of 00, but the game dosn't recognise that hex, so it uses a temporary name: Missingno., which is a combination of the words missing and number. That's why it's number 000. Part two:
1. PLAYER DATA overwrites all the files.
2. PLAYER DATA overwrites E4 data.
But since Missingno. is programmed with wild pokemon too (that are glitched, look at the level of the pokemon), the game also gets glitch data along with saved player data.
Now, if you made it all the way down here without falling asleep, you will know why Missingno. appears. All of this was made without clicking on the above link.

Pokemon glitches are arguably the best... the weird Pokemon you can get out of them! I once saw someone that obtained a Lvl. 173 Golduck or something like that.
btw, has anyone ever seen Bad EGG? That is a really damaging glitch, and it's for Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald... I'm not sure about FR/LG. It's an egg that duplicates, filling up all your boxes and not allowing you to catch more Pokemon. It will either not hatch and just stay there forever, or hatch and destroy your game. The only way to obtain it if you put in a code to get a rare legend (eg: Deoxys, Jirachi, Mew) and mess up. Sort of an extreme punishment for cheating. :\

I have captured Mewtwo in LeafGreen! I sent our my Lvl. 53 Snorlax, and accidentally used Strength instead of Yawn, which took away about 10%-15% of HP, then I used Yawn after taking two Psychic attacks, which left me with 6 HP. Using Swift, Mewtwo fainted Snorlax, so I sent in Blasta, my Lvl. 57 Blastoise. I used Rain Dance, while Mewtwo used Swift, which took away only about 40HP. It started to rain, and Mewtwo fell asleep. I used Surf twice, which left Mewtwo with less than 3% of health. I threw an Ultra Ball, and captured him. ^^ I now also have a Level 55 Kadabra, thanks to the Cerulean Cave.
btw, not all glitches are bad. I encountered a Pokemon that was not normally in its location- Cerulean City- and it was not just any Pokemon, but Mew! ^^ I also helped my friend catch Articuno and Zapdos.

I can happily say the Blue was my first Pokemon RPG, when I first recieved my GBC on my 7th birthday, or 6th. I don't remember, but anyways that was the only game I played for a long time.

I remember how badly I wanted Yellow when my cousin brought his Game Boy Color (Special Pikachu Edition) over. I can't believe there was even a time when I wasn't into Pokemon at all. But anyway I was allowed to skip my karate lessons one Saturday so my mom and I could go store-hopping looking for Pokemon Yellow. I never found a Yellow version in any of the stores so I ended up getting Red instead. My brother also got Blue version but this was when he was barely getting into video games so he did pretty badly on his first journey. 'Course, if you see his stats on Leaf Green, you would never know that.
Before I forget, I welcome those new to the Pokemon craze. I must ask though, where were you 10 (or more accurately 8 ) years ago, when we were all completely obsessed with it?

This may sound a bit outlandish, but I have everry single version. It started out with Blue, then Red and Yellow. Then Silver, then Gold and Crystal. Then Ruby and Sapphire, and most recently Fire, Leaf and Emerald.

I have sold some of my older games... now I only have LeafGreen and Emerald. The Emerald is pirated (bought it in Thailand for 500 baht), however, but LG is 100% legitimate. My team is fast approaching Level 60, and I have captured Moltres, Mewtwo and Zapdos, obtained the Ruby and Sapphire, but have not beaten the second Elite 4. I'm gonna try levelling them up to Level 100.

I had it, but I know not where it is now. Probably not even in my house... but whatever. The title was a little ominous, looking back...
My first Pokemon game was Red. At one point or another I had each one excluding Emerald, Fire, and Leaf and I had both stadiums. But at my old age I have only 3... Blue, Gold, and Ruby.
Edit: I have played Emerald and Fire Red before, through emulation. What sucked is that even when I beat Fire Red, I couldn't save like a GBA game normally would and I couldn't move on past the Elite Four.

When the world was Pokemon-crazed, I was trying to figure out what exactly was so good about the Pokemon cards my friends were so desperate to get. I then got into it, but received Starfox 64 and forgot about Pokemon until much, much later. I saw my friends playing Ruby, and, naturally, I was interested. Thanks to them, I am once more a Pokemaniac.

That basically sums it all up. I can't remember when the card craze died... I think it was when all the other anime card games started coming out (Digimon for example, even though that NEVER caught on around here). Then Yu-gi-oh! which I think lasted for about half a day. Trading card games are pretty much obsolete these days.

Pachirisu looks like a lot like Pichu... personally, I think Seviper would've done better as a Poison/Dark type than this scorpion. It looks like it should be Rock/Poison or Steel/Poison.

Some of the newer Pokemon are good. My NB team consists almost entirely of Hoenn Pokemon. It's Crawdaunt, Sceptile, Snorlax, Armaldo, Metagross and Blaziken.
I also made an alternate team the other day, it was: Abra, Magikarp, Feebas, Unown, Wurmple and Ditto. lol

They all look fine to me, although Dorapion looks like a kremling reject from DKC3. Pachirisu looks so dang adorable, I want one. Why is the male trainer wearing a beret though? Those things are ugly. Hopefully, the game allows you to alter your look since I really don't want to walk around with a beret. Oh well, that's not going to stop me from buying the game.

I have an important question. My friend is trying to catch Articuno on Red Version and the Ultra Balls do not work on it. How do I fix this?
Buy normal Pokeballs, Great Balls and Ultra Balls. Try Pokeballs first, or any order. You can use a Pokemon with a sleep move, and, if you caught Snorlax and kept Yawn, then you can use that. I'm not sure if R/B/Y has False Swipe, but it's a good idea, Marowak learns it in FR/LG. Articuno is 4x weak to Rock attacks, so that's an idea.

Thanks everyone. It turns out that two minutes later my friend was gloating in my face when the Ultra Balls worked, along with when he caught a Zapdos with a UB and a Moltres with a regular Pokeball.
Did anyone ever figure out the real truth behind Missingno.'s and M_Block's? And what about the over-Lvl. 100 Pokemon?

Missingno., M. and the other glitches are just space-fillers. They had capacity for a lot of Pokemon in Red/Blue/Yellow, but these blank spaces were filled with... nothing. If you force it to appear in a glitch, then there would be an error, and it would load up a jumble of Pokemon data.

Like I said, an error in the game data leads to loading up Level 100+ Pokemon. Cloud World, I've never heard of, but trsrockin probably explains it somewhere.
Not to brag but on my B, R, and Gold I had all the legendarys and Mewtwo. Is it really that hard, I don't remember.
As do I, but legends are usually frowned upon, especially in Netbattle. They have ridiculously high stats, and some Pokemon, like Kyogre, are almost impossible to beat without something with Thunder (due to it's ability). Articuno is pretty weak, and can't do much else apart from Mind Reader+Sheer Cold.

On my unbeatable Gold Version, my Lvl. 100 Typhlosion is named Bakufun, for his Japanese equivalent name.
On the Team Rocket's Rockin' site's home page (which explains everything about the Pokemon Red/Blue and Yellow glitches), drag your mouse over the Missingno. tab and click on the link that says "Glitch City." I said Cloud World because my friends back in the day dubbed it that. I was lucky enough to experience it first-hand, along with the Missingno.s and M_Blocks.

Yep. Sometimes, I mix up nicknames... for example, my Ralts' nickname is Sanuro- a mix between the Japanese names of Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir. I have 2 Pokemon in my Pokedex, and I will soon catch a Nincada, and I will start building my eventual team.

Treecko evolved, and I captured a Nincada. Ralts is one level away from evolving, and is currently my most powerful Pokemon by 1 level. Nincada is always KOed first, it's hard to raise >.<

Nope, there are some unavailable ones. According to Serebii.net, you can't get Surskit, Masquerain, Meditite, Medicham, Zangoose and Lunatone. However, Gamefreak/Nintendo left an error in the game- at certain times, you can find Surskit in certain areas, but they are extremely rare. Also, you can catch Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza, and a wide variety of Johto Pokemon. You can also choose between Latios and Latias (imo, Latios is better) once you've beaten the Elite 4, and the Battle Frontier features some of the most difficult trainers in the game, despite its seemingly simple systems. I went through a large tournament in one of the buildings once, only to lose in the final match.

w00t, I beat Wattson! My main team (excluding Poochyena and Shedinja) is now entirely above Lvl. 25, and Kirlia's about to evolve. I need a good Water Pokemon, and fast... I'm at Flannery's gym. Can someone please help?

Tip number one: Get at least one water Pokemon. That almost always works.

Unofrtunately, I'm waiting to get a Feebas, and, eventually, a Milotic. I've come up with a plan, though... I'll just use Kirlia's Psychic on Slugma, due to its pretty lousy Sp. Def, and maybe take out Numel as well. Then, I'll switch to Ninjask and Shedinja, then use Screech, allowing Grovyle to attempt to KO with Slam or Fury Cutter v Camerupt. Then, I'll send Kirlia out again, to pwn Torkoal with Psychic. That's my plan.
Also... we've started work on the game again. We've got double the staff, a better storyline, and the people I'm making it with have more experience.

I've discovered some glitches in Red that I never knew could happen.
You probably know that you can fish "inside" pillars/statues at Fuschia Gym, right? Well, you can also fish inside the ones at the Cerulean Gym, but here's the thing: you can catch Pokemon! I didn't know that you could fish in any statue, and even strategy guides said that nothing can be caught in the FG's statues, but I fished out a Lvl. 15 Psyduck in the CG.
Also, inside the Unknown Dungeon, where you catch Mewtwo, there are the raised platforms/hills that you normally can't stand on. Well, on the route to (refer to spoiler), immediatelly when you exit the 2nd ladder on the only right route, go down, and you will be standing on the platform! However, the only ay to get off is to go back down the ladder. Also, when your only a few steps away from (refer to spoiler), there is a bigger platform. Go to the shaded side that appears to be not as steep as the other side, and you can step up/on that platform, too! You can also face Pokemon there. If I can, I will get pictures.

Why does everyone always complain about the difficulty with catching Feebas? It took me like only 3 tiles to find it, then I had Ditto placed in the daycare with my only Feebas so I would never need to fish for it again.

The only Pokemon game I've ever owned was LeafGreen. It was pretty good, but I got bored with it and sold it to Suffix. I'm interested in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Has anything been said about a Pokemon Wii game and if it would have connectivity to any other game?

I found Feebas easily in my third game of Emerald, but I'm in my fourth now and it's nowhere to be found. =\ Is it before the Weather Institute or after? I forgot ^^'
Luigison: There's going to be a game called Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii. It looks like another Stadium/Collosseum, but the graphics are better. Groudon, in the trailer, used a Hyper Beam, and it actually destroyed part of the arena. Also, Pikachu used something that looked like Tackle, and he hit the opponent physically. I want Mystery Dungeon and Diamond more, though.

Isn't there something (GCN disc?) that allows you to transfer Pokemon between several games? If so, what is it and what games work with it? Are future games expected to work with it? I ask because if you are supposed to "Catch them all" shouldn't they all be put in a central location? Sorry if my questions are ignorant. I'm new to Pokemon.

Man, I have had such a great time with LeafGreen. Now I have Emerald, and am using it in conjunction with the two.
Luigison, you're thinking of "Pokemon BOX," which hosts a frightening number of Pokemon for use in various games. I don't know exactly how it works, though. I'm thinking of getting a GCN Pokemon game.
I'd like to be able to "Catch them all," minus the few that require downloads from those idiotic events that are hosted in large cities. But! If the DS games create a whole new roster of Pokemon, I will be pretty angry. I liked the Kanto Pokemon, less the Hoenn, and even less the Orre. They're running out of good ideas, from my perspective.

Box is just like the Pokemon Box from R/S/E/FR/LG, but bigger. You can also obtain Pokemon with strange moves (eg: Pichu w/ Surf, Skitty w/ Pay Day). It can hold 1500 Pokemon.
Some of the Hoenn Pokemon are okay, imo. I don't like some of Johto's, though.

What? Gold-Silver-Crystal was the best point in time for the series. It wasn't so broken as Red-Blue-Yellow (for instance, boxes being full and you not knowing because no one is around to tell you), yet not so overflowing with new species and statistical junk no one cares about as Ruby-Sapphir
ae-Emerald. But yes, some of the GSC species were odd... as if the RSE ones were any mroe normal. Some of the RSE ones just don't even feel like they're Pokèmon at all.

I was just saying I don't like some of the Pokemon, not the games. Of course, I don't like some of the R/B/Y ones (Mr.Mime, Venusaur), and also some of the R/S/E ones (Dusclops), so it's not just the G/S/C Pokemon.

Hey! I caught Rayquaza without a Master Ball! That's one Master Ball I haven't used!

Congratulations! Rayquaza was super-annoying to catch when I caught him in Emerald. However, Mewtwo is super-irritating, because it can recover and you shouldn't use the Master Ball on it.
A strategy for catching high-level legends in the 3rd gen games is to just let them get your starter down to less than 33% health, and use something like Rain Dance if you have a Water starter, Sunny Day if you have a Fire Starter, and, if they have Solarbeam, Sunny Day for the Grass starter as well. Then, use Surf/Flamethrower/Solarbeam (and be sure it's not super-effective). It will deal over 300 base damage. This is how I caught Mewtwo.

I haven't looked at my Saphire game in a long time, and don't know where it is right now. But I've been playing Leaf Green lately, and forgot how much I enjoyed these games. Right now I've beaten the Elite 4 once, and I'm working through the Sevii Island puzzle to be able to trade with the other games. My current team is just for getting through the story part of the game, not for anything too competetive

That's my new team... hasn't even beaten Mossdeep yet. However, my old one was only around Lvl. 45 when I caught Rayquaza. Tentacruel's Ice Beam got a critical hit, and it almost KOed Rayquaza.
Also, I'm trying to think of a good sixth Pokemon (Mightyena is not for battling) and I can't trade (also, I dislike Fighting types). Any suggestions? I was thinking of adding something like Aggron.

I have played all of the major Pokemon games though it wasn't until I imported Leaf Green that I truly became a better player. I have actually pre-ordered the two newest games that are being released in Japan on September 28, 2006; Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl.

Chimecho, Lv 28 (this one took FOREVER to catch... and so far its moves are mostly useless)
And I also did not use a Master Ball on Rayquaza. I used Regice to freeze it and lower its HP and by some miracle I got it in an Ultra Ball. the Master Ball was used on Latios. Hmmm... I haven't played any form of Pokemon in a long time...

Smeargle learns Sketch every ten levels, so you either have to level him up ten levels or go to the Move Maniac in Fallarbor. imo, the best combo is Belly Drum/Baton Pass/Spore/Extremespeed. I wouldn't use Hypnosis, because it can get Spore instead. Also, for the cheap, you can use Mean Look/Mind Reader/Sheer Cold/Spore.
The Latios problem: I don't think so. I caught Latios with a high level Wobbuffet. I kept Mirror-Coating, then, eventually, sent out a Rayquaza and got it in.
Anyway, can anyone suggest a type not covered by my current team?

You have no electric Pokèmon, looney! Neither do I, but Weezing and Staryu have Thunder, and Castform has Thunderbolt. Lanturn is a great choice, the Water-Electric combo is pure excellence.
Also, if ever you want a better starter than the ones provided, I know the perfect way to trade one... eggs. Trade an egg, hatch it, and raise it as if you got it from the Professor. Grr... now I wish I had Sapphire with which to do this. I had it, but know not where the cartridge went.

I don't really need an Electric Pokemon... Gardevoir and Feebas both have Electric moves (Thunderbolt and HP Electric)... and I have a DS, so trading is out of the question. Otherwise, my final Poke would be a Blaziken for sure. I considered Heracross, but I already have an above-average physical sweeper (Absol is t3h pwnz0rz). I was thinking to make it an Endure/Reversaller, which was what I would've made Blaziken.

I think it's time for me to brag...I mean...talk about my perfect Gold Version! Thanks to the easy techniques of trading and trading back and cloning Pokemon, I have achieved a perfect Pokedex of 251 Pokemon seen and caught. w00t! Well, I'm still trying to improve, by first of all, raising more Lvl. 100 Pokemon (I own I think 22 Lvl. 100's, including a Celebi). I am also trying to catch the two legendaries I never caught in the game, Raikou and Suicune (the ones I actually were allowed to keep from a trade suck eggs). So far, I have succeeded in raising a Charizard to Lvl. 100. My current team is...
Tyranitar Lvl. 86 Attacks= Earthquake, Rock Slide, Crunch, Hyper Beam (a female, but kicks butt :)
Togetic Lvl. 81 Attacks= Shadow Ball, Metronome, Psychic, Fly
Hitmonlee lvl. 91 Attacks= Hi Jump Kick, Strength, Reversal, Mega Kick
Venasaur Lvl. 85 Attacks= (not very good) Tackle, Sleep Powder (good for legendaries), Razor Leaf, Solarbeam (I think I'll erase Tackle for a Hyper Beam and Sleep Powder for Sunny Day (If I can find one)) Anyone know where to get Sunny Day to buy? I think it's in Celadon.
Blastoise Lvl. 82 Attacks= Skull Bash, Hydro Pump, Surf, Mega Punch
Victreebel (only for Cut, Flash, and weakening legendaries; Cut for any trees, flash to face Red in Silver Cave, and it's level for the legendaries) Lvl. 49 Attacks= Flash, Acid, Cut, Razor Leaf

Jeez waleez. That's a lot of stuff you've got. How did you get Celebi? I was under the impression that that particular Pokemon didn't appear in the US version.
Meanwhile, what do you get when you combine a Smeargle with Hypnosis, Sand-Attack, and Mean Look, plus 12 Timer Balls? You get Latios. I'm happy to say that I have captured that slippery fiend without a Master Ball.

I received my Celebi from a friend, but I don't necessarily know how he got his (it's probably from a Gameshark or an Action Replay). But, there are no strange side effects, and the Celebi is quite strong. It is at Level 100 (along with a not-exact clone at 82 that has weaker attacks, thank you cloning abilities:) and it knows Ancientpower, Hyper Beam, Psychic, and Future Sight. Along with my Celebi (nicknamed Cella by my friend), I have a Level 100 (without cheating, or else my numerous friends who traded with me traded a Level 100 to me)...
Machamp, Bakufun (my Typhlosion, nicknamed it's Japanese translation), Dragonite, Lugia, Blissey (686 HP!), Crobat, Meganium, Jolteon, Ho-oh, Lapras, Charizard, Feraligatr (I love the story behing his name; the programmers couldn't fit an "o" between the "t" and "r" or some other letter),Zapdos, Politoed, Mewtwo (Miky), Articuno, another Ho-oh (cloning:), Mew, Moltres, Kabutops, another Kabutops, and a Cloyster.
There you have it. A total of 23 Level 100's. But, trust me, I have been beaten by other Level 100 teams. My friends and I were nuts about Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver. So, we were always competing and training. Thanks to much cooperation, dedication, and hard work that started after I learned that the attack Tail-whip did not inflict damage, I can reflect back on this game today. And don't even try asking me to restart and do it all over again.

Bird Person: I haven't the slightest what I'm going to do with it [the Master Ball]. Maybe if I ever buy a Gamecube game, I'll transfer it for use on some enormous monster thing.

I have now started the game over, and my current party is a Pidgey at Level 6 (Gust, Sand-attack) and Richard (my Squirtle; I don't know exactly why I named him Richard...) who is at Level 11 (Tackle, Tail-whip, Bubble). Well, I hope to start a strong team with Squirtle and Pidgey. *Mr.Melee fires up his SP*
I would also like to add how stupid Pokemon Battle Frontier is. They changed everyone's voices! Ash sounds like a girl trying to do a macho impression, May sounds like she aged 10 years, Brock sounds like a nerd, Jessie and James sound messed up, and Max sounds like even more of an annoying pest than he already was. /angry So much for a good new Pokemon (even though the newer episodes stink, too; these stink worse :/).

There are certain ones available to each game, but I think you can input codes or something to "catch 'em all". I'm not that familiar with Mystery Dungeon.

Anyway, I, like MaxVance, downloaded PMD Red. I wound up with Pikachu and chose Torchic to be my partner. It's weird, but it's a lot better playing as the Pokèmon than as some exaggeratedly fit guy with white hair and clothes I wouldn't be caught dead in.

Heh heh... whose idea was it to make the 3rd generation guy's hair white? How old is he again? You can tell it was just bleached a bit too long, under the headband it's black, but gosh. Shoot me if the 4th generation guy is dressed as a gangsta, with the mile-long shirt and pants and huge sunglasses, you know. He'd wear a purple beanie that covers everything above the sunglasses, the reason he wouldn't talk to anyone would be because his grill is so heavy he can't move his jaw, and he'd have lotsa bling-bling on his hands. Ugh. Don't get why they don't just let you create your character starting with hair color/style and going right down to shoe color.

Seriously. The people who design the characters in the games really go out of their way to make it look new and cool. Instead, the characters just seem weird...And while we're on the subject of the clothing in Pokemon, I'm still a bit skeptical about Ash's new clothing for Diamond and Pearl. It looks so generic, and the lack of blue really bugs me...It just doesn't suit Ash.

It's an increase of what the whole series has been about: making people trade with, or, what they expect a good portion of people to do, buy multiple versions of the same game to get everything. Just look at the last 'generation' of the games. You would have to buy six different versions to get all the previous monsters (Ruby, Saphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Colloseum, and XD). Emerald wasn't really needed, but in order to get some of the bonuses, which I can't remember right now, you would have to buy that one too.

Well, the whole point of Yellow is having Pikachu follow you, which is kinda cool... but once you evolve it in another game, it won't follow you around or anything. Then, it's just a Raichu, and the game is just like Red and Blue except with very small differences. =[

There are so many brilliant Pokemon coming up; Crescelia, Garchomp, PorygonZ, Magnezone, Manaphy, Rhyperior, Infernape and so many more; not to mention that so many of the current Pokemon have gotten improvements/are still as good as ever (Salamence, Skarmory, Heracross). I'm looking forward to using some of these things in battle. >:D

I thought evolution has been scientifically proven. But I don't think it has been proven that humans evolved form monkeys. The problem with the evolution theory is, if we weren't created, where would the most basic life form have come from? I think they're just trying to give the player an accurate description, regardless of whether or not it makes sense ingame. Remember, the first games also describe Mario and Wario at one point, which would have been nonsense to any Americans who hadn't played the game. They probably just wanted to avoid further confusion.

Yeah, the player has got a Wii. I downloaded the Japanese ROM to check... and MAN, the player selections are even more hideous than in R/S/E. The ONLY video game character authorized to have an enormous head, a big obnoxious helmet, and a Wii... is 9-Volt. The environment is in 3-D, though... But I am not going to buy the game (or download the US version. ;P).

Pokemon Battle Revolution is basically Pokemon Stadium without any of the extra minigames or a storyline.
Aside from that, repitition seems to work with many games series. Look at Megaman for another example.

While your generic description made me laugh, you could really do this for any game series (Zelda, Final Fantasy, whatever, it's almost too easy). I'm not a super big Pokémaniac, but I like to keep up my knowledge of the Pokémon names, music, and places to understand what people talk about and understand references in stuff like Smash Bros. Hmm, Pokémon stuff sure doesn't show up much in Wario Wares this just made me realize.
And the regular RPGs like this sure entertain me a heck of a lot more than the spinoffs that break the mold do (I'm looking at you, Mystery Dungeon).

Good point with Smash Bros... I'll have to depend on trophies in Brawl, I guess... I noticed the lack of Pokemans in WarioWare a while ago, how curious. They could have had "Escape!" in Twisted in which you'd roll the ball around to get out, or "Catch!" In Smooth Moves in which you'd throw the ball at your target... Maybe 9-Volt's not a big fan of Pokemans...

OK, can someone please recommend me some Pokemon I can add to my team? So far the team consists of:

Lv 23 Luxio
Lv 21 Budew
Lv 20 Shellos
Lv 19 Pachirisu
I don't think Shellos will be with my team permanantly since I already have a water type and I'm probably gonna drop Pachirisu as soon as I run across a good Psychic or Dark type and a fire type Pokemon. I have a Ponyta and an Alakazam but I really like sticking to strictly new Pokemon instead of falling back on those I'm already familiar with. But considering how relatively few Fire types there are in the series, I may have no other choice.
Also, I need to find a Sun Stone to evolve my Budew. I was extremely frustrated raising him all the way to Lv 21 and he still did not evolve. I'm tempted to teach him Bullet Seed (which worked well with my Shiftry) or Grass Knot since he can't use Absorb all the time.
EDIT: Apparantly, Budew doesn't evolve with a Sun Stone, he just has to really like me. Guess it's massages and Poffin time.

Hmm, I've never heard that term before. Warp, you should note that you probably have to beat the Elite Four before you can visit Pal Park.

Suffix, the only requirement for Pal Park is seeing everything in the Sinnoh Dex, which can be done through trading...but yeah, I'll complete the game before I unlock Pal Park anyway because of the lack of trading ability, so...

At the rate I'm playing (inside the second gym right now), I may actually have WFC access before I get to the Elite Four, which means Pal Park before them (if someone will trade me the legendaries; temporarily, of course), which means (assuming items can be transferred)...*checks LeafGreen party*

Actually, depending on what level my starter is at that point, I might not even need Venusaur (since all he has is Grass moves), which means I'd probably transfer something like Castform or Treecko (so I could get all three forms in the National Dex), or maybe even my Mudkip (with Everstone equipped, and the Amulet Coin on Charizard being replaced with an EXP Share).
I sure hope items are transferable.
Okay, so I have to defeat E4 before obtaining the National Dex because of how the Sinnoh Dex limits trading, and I know for a fact now that items are transferable via Pal Park, so...a Master Ball, two Exp. Shares, two Leftovers, and my LG party are all waiting for me when I finish the Sinnoh Dex.

Yeah, I didn't like how the Elites got so powerful the second time in FireRed/LeafGreen. However, after restarting I chose not to obtain the National Dex post-Elites (by not collecting enough Pokemon) and now I can fight them an unlimited amount of times. :D

The fact that E4 got so much more powerful after the National Dex in LeafGreen is why my Charizard is level 100. :)

Yeah, I loved the pumped-up Elites in LeafGreen/FireRed. My winning team had only five Pokemon-- which meant I could train anybody from level zip to level 40 in no time. Seems that the Elite Four in Diamond/Pearl are pretty tough right away. I hope they'll be harder when I return, so that I can gain even more experience points faster.

Yeah, I dropped Shellos for Stunky after I saw it's moveset and the fact that it's a Poison/Dark type. I didn't drop Pachi because it's a decent battler despite it's low HP and because I couldn't decide what other Pokemon I would use. I was thinking maybe Croagunk or Bronzor but I still haven't found either of them, though I know where they are.
I'm now on my way to the 8th gym. Also, Dialga didn't put up much of a fight. I captured him after only 5 Ultra balls, though he did manage to knock out all my Pokemon except for Empoleon.

I'm curious about Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. I haven't set foot in the Pokemon world since Gold/Silver, and I enjoyed those games thoroughly. There were a few things I didn't like about Pokemon, probably enough so I didn't resume with Ruby/Sapphire:
Way too many random battles
Way too many Pokemon
Huge dungeons that were confusing and difficult, unless you had the player's guide (as in my case)
Took too long to go find/catch the Pokemon I needed, or to trade to a different game, or to empty a full party into the nearest computer
However, I'm getting caught up in all the hype of Diamond/Pearl. Now that they have a made-for-DS, Wi-Fi compatible, better-looking Pokemon game, I'm curious to see if those statements are also true for Diamond/Pearl. Anyone? Anyone?

Whoever said that you have to defeat E4 before getting the opposite version's legendary in your Sinnoh Dex is wrong. You just need to have seen your own version's legendary.
I can't really answer your question, bobman, as I've been on board for every generation so far.

You misunderstand. What I'm asking is this. In Diamond/Pearl:
Are there still a ridiculous amount of wild Pokemon battles?
Are there still a ridiculous amont of Pokemon? (answer: yes)
Are there still huge dungeons, and are they hard to find out what you're doing?
Does it still take forever to find the one Pokemon you need, or to dump your Pokemon into a storage unit?

I'm not terribly far, but dungeons seem smaller and very simple, at least comparing the first half of Diamond/Pearl with the first half of the others.

Hm. The most annoying parts were the huge dungeons and the constantly-going-back-into-town-and-dumping-your-new-catches. Interesting. Although, now that I think about it, the dungeons were only annoying because I'd hit a wild Pokemon every four steps. It occured so often, I was even thinking about how they should make a game where there are little symbols on the ground, representing pokemon, and if you run into it, random wild pokemon. That way you can avoid them. I know it would ruin the game somehow, but it would definitely be less frustrating.

Yeah, the Move command has been helping me out since LeafGreen. And just so you know, it automatically switches boxes when a box is full, so you shouldn't have to go back into town to dump catches...

How... in the dukar... did you beat her with all of that junk? It took me six of the very best to wipe out the Champion, and three had fainted! I guess I'm just as unlucky as I suspected. I threw around 40 Dusk and then Timer Balls at one of those dang Emotion Pokemon, until I finally ran out of PP for Hypnotize.

Suffix: LOTS of luck, lots of type weaknesses, and lots of pyen (enough that I had 30 Revives and 30 Full Restores at the beginning; I used my last Revive on my last guy, who won it for me, and I still have like 7 Full Restores). Did I mention that my last save was right after I beat my rival (before I stepped through the door)?
I have Uxie and Azelf, and have met Mesprit. I only need 6 5 4 more to fill up the Sinnoh Dex (Chatot, Combee, Wormadam, Barboach, Finneon, Lumineon).

Ha, ha ha ha... I found a Burmy in a tree after spreading honey on it and traded it to Suffix for a Bronzor from Japan that doesn't understand English (actually, I don't have my second badge yet... I haven't been playing much).

Also, considering my current situation (that is, my friend hasn't really looked for the stuff so I can play online), I probably won't be playing online for a while.

I used to play Pokemon like it was baseball. In trying to raise all of them, I would switch them out in battle, sort of like going to the bullpen. It was kind of cool, except I lost to the Elite Four in this, my most recent attempt at Pokemon.

Apparently a lot of people are having difficulty with E4, yet I have more trouble with finding non-legendaries for the Sinnoh Dex than with battling some powerful NPCs...

You didn't find the CHATOT trade or the Good Rod until after you beat it? Man, you really must not talk to people. I had both before the third badge. On the other hand, that probably explains why you have finished and I haven't.

I only need to evolve my Finneon and catch a female Burmy to unlock the rest of the game. Apparently Chatot can be caught during the morning or day on Routes 222 and 224, so I have one of those now.

Possible spoilers if you haven't gotten to the end of the game, I guess.
Hm, when I beat the Elite Four I had seen 144 in the Sinoh Dex. That left two "normal" and four "legendary" Pokemon. I had forgotten to visit Iron Island, and a trainer there had one Pokemon I needed (The one who's leaves cover it at night or in a cave; I forget its name) and the team-up partner gave an egg for the other I had missed.
Then, three of the "legendary" Pokemon were the lake ones, and finally Palkia, which you can obtain the "seen" status elsewhere.
Fighting every trainer I see is something I frequently do in Pokemon games, and I'm also a big fan of "One really high level Pokemon, and several lower level fellows" style of playing. Despite NPCs always saying that's not the way to go, that's how I roll.
I think Empoleon was 72 when I got to the Elite Four, and my next highest was a Medicham at 47 I caught in Victory Road, followed closely by a Graveler, 46, also from Victory Road and a Staraptor who was the third Pokemon I obtained, at 45. I had little trouble with the Elite Four, though the Champion did almost kill me by whoring Earthquake.
Haven't played too much since. Opened up Pal Park and traded my unfinished team from Leaf Green. Did some battle towering, but I'm to understand there's a lot more to do after you get the National Dex, so I'll have to look into it.
Anyways, if anyone needs any sort of Pokemon, and I have access to it, feel free to ask. I'm more than happy to send out eggs or whatnot.

Black Mage, do you have any powerful Pokemon that know a move such as Block or Mean Eye? I'm having trouble catching a certain, irritating Pokemon.
I probably wouldn't be able to make the trade very fair, so you could just loan me something of the sort... And WarpWrattler, are you telling me you have to collect a Pokemon of each gender?!

I must be incredibly lucky or something.
I caught Azelf with about 7 ultraballs and Uxie with 11. Everywhere I read people claim they spent about 5x more balls than I did.

I actually was lucky with both (for the first time every in a Pokemon game!). Once I had a strong enough Noctowl, it took me four Dusk Balls to get Azelf, and ONLY ONE to get Uxie.

Is it true that, while playing Pokemons Red, Blue or Yellow, that rapidly tapping B while a Pokemon is fighting to get out of a just-thrown Pokeball will help your chances of catching that Pokemon? If so, does it work in the recent games too? I don't know if it works, but I sure felt like it was helping. I would have a sort of... empty feeling if I didn't tap B.

Actually, the only times I used an FAQ were to find out which six guys I needed to fill the Sinnoh Dex, and to check which trainer has a Wormadam.
Other than Pal Park and the Underground, I've been taking a break from Diamond to play Meteos and Tactics Ogre.

Greetings! I present to you some wares which I am trying to shed in hopes of collecting some other Pokémon. I have an enormous amount of augmenting items that are just lying around, and almost every TM ever made.
My current special: Eevees. Lots and lots of Eevees. I have somewhere around 20 of them, including the majority of their evolutions. Right now, I'm trying to get Espeon and Umbreon. I also have a Cresselia that I will surely never use. My price? I'm not sure, but I really, REALLY want a Latias.
Today, I caught Giratina. Easiest Legendary I've caught to date-- it took only one Dusk Ball.

Heh, if you get them used, you could drain some valuable stuff from them. Unfortunately, going from the DS to GBA is a fair step down, visual wise. I was surprised at how crummy the older games looked after having played Diamond for a while. On another note, your Pokémon are at excellent levels-- where do you train them? The Elite Four? Or somewhere else...?
In other news, I found the Rotom today. Like Cresselia, it's a Pokémon I'd rather trade for something else (like Latias!), or some of the Legendary Dogs.

Actually, I've been working on evolving other Pokémon to fill up my Pokédex lately. But part of the reason they're at such high levels is because I've been using the Lucky Egg item, which gives the holder a 50% exp. boost.
Oh, and somebody (indian)gave me Ruby in the past, so I've had some experience with the GBA games.

Wild Chanseys sometimes have one. I think the chances where 5% or something. The first and only Chansey I caught had it. I've been trying to Covet another one for my boyfriend (who is, needless to say, jealous), but am not having any luck.

As much as I like Mudkips, they are in fact inferior to Piplup and Squirtle.
But yeah, I'll breed my Blaziken for a Torchic.
As for Lucky Egg, I think I got mines off a Chansey I got in the Safari Zone of Fire Red, as well as a Lucky Punch from another.

Hmm, your statement there made me go and check the base stats out of curiosity. As it turns out, Mr. Wiggles, Mudkips are indeed worse-- by a negligible degree. Their average stat is one point less than that of the other Pokémon you mentioned. I also found that the average stats for their final evolutions is the reverse: Swampert has an average stat that is almost one point higher than Blastoise and Empoleon.

As it turns out, Totodile's average stat is equal to Piplup and Squirtle. Feraligatr is also equal to Empoleon and Blastoise. Keep in mind, however, that the average stat does not set the Pokémon's power in stone. With enough effort, almost any Pokémon can become a giant. I don't think it's worth it, though...

Yeah, I hate going deeper into the whole competitive battle scene. You have to start taking into account natures, EVs, IVs not to mention tons of breeding to get the right one. Way too much work with very little payoff. I'd much rather just work with those I catch and pump up their best stat.

What? Roguelikes are good. I would assume the PMD sequel will play much the same way as the first one.
This reminds me of one interesting thing I heard about PMD. A lot of people thought the penalty for fainting in a dungeon was too harsh (losing all money and most items, as well as having to start over in the dungeon) while the "true" roguelike community thought PMD was too easy (all items identified, no "permadeath" or loss of experience upon fainting).

Update on my Pearl progress. My team of five is now at level 88 and my Pokédex has complete info on 337 Pokémon (put a 1 in front of that and what do you get? LOL) I'm running low on Pokémon to evolve though. All that is left are the ones that takes ages like the Larvitar and Bagon lines. Not sure what I'll do after that since I don't have any of the GBA games or wi-fi access.

As for my team, the leader (Lv96 Latios, Eon Suffix) has gotten far ahead of the rest because of my hard earned Lucky Egg.

I have all the Pokemon games except Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, or Crystal because I can't get video games that often nowadays. Anyway in Red, I had a level 255 Golbat, but I put him in the PC and it freezes when I try to take him out. On the other hand this is my party for Gold:

I'm feeling kind of let-down. I want to get Fire Red so that I'll have something I can use to get Pokemon off of my Ruby cart and start a new game, and for a while I had an idea to create something of an Electrical Discharge Yellow version--trade a Pichu egg to raise in place of the FR starter. Of course, you can't do that in Fire Red or Leaf Green till you beat the game... I've done it with a Castform egg in Sapphire before (it must be an egg, otherwise it won't obey). Castform makes a killer starter.
I'm not so happy about the lack of link cable ports in the DS, and lack of Game Boy compatibility. There's now a Game Boy Color emulator for the DS (Lameboy, version 0.8 finally has sound) and I have Yellow and Crystal on it...

Hey, Kimimaru-- I am unfortunately not on track to catch an Entei, but I will be before too long. Right now, I'm after Raikou, but if I could get a Pokédex entry on that guy, I could retool and start FireRed over. After all, it only took me 26 hours to get to and beat the Elite Four. Respond quickly, because I could find Raikou at any moment now and start a ludicrous waste of time.
Speaking of Entei and such, I really need entries on the Gold/Silver legendaries.

There is no way to get Celebi in Gold, Silver or Crystal in the U.S. versions without a cheat device... I used to have a Game Boy GameShark but no longer.

I can get Entei on LeafGreen if I ever feel I want to (although it may take a little while, since I sent my Master Ball to Diamond).
My younger brother bought Pearl earlier today, which, coupled with my purchase of Tetris DS, brings the count of WFC-enabled games in my house to 3, meaning I have more reason to persuade my dad to buy a Wi-Fi Adapter. Who wants Mewtwo?

My Torterra (Lvl. 62 with Crunch, Earthquake, Frenzy Plant, and Leaf Storm) is in the PC to make room for Pupitar, who will be in my final party as a Tyranitar I think (I have one in Golf that I love so much, I have to have another). The above Pokémon (minus two), as you'll see below, will not make it to my final party, but I've 1.) Been with them for a long time and have attached to them, and 2) They make a good secondary party. The following Pokémon, I believe, will be in my final party:

The guaranteed ones are all very strong and can be very helpful to my party; Torterra with it's Defense and overall effectiveness, Dialga with its high and well-rounded stats (Can't go wrong with Dragon or Steel, but together = WIN), Giratina and it's Shadow Force (Also, Dragon and Ghost both great, but together = WIN), and Heatran with it's Fire/Steel type, providing both good Attack and Defense.
The possible ones are also good considerations. Machamp has a very fitting Pokédex description: the Superpower Pokémon, as its Attack goes off charts (300s+). Darkrai has its very useful signature attack, Dark Void, which puts its opponents to sleep and sucks away their health. Spiritomb has no weakness and has somewhat high and well-rounded stats. Lastly, I just love Tyranitar. It looks freaking awesome, has good Attack and Defense, and can be a very strong Pokémon to have to go up against.
Hopefully, in a few months, I will have my final party all figured and and leveled/gathered up. Wish me luck, Pokétrainers.

Way to fill your party with generic ones found in everyone's parties... Well I don't know any of those fourthies, except Torterra and Dialga. Floatzel must be Buizel's evolved form... otherwise judging by the presence of a legendary and a future Tyranitar... I don't know, I generally like to avoid depending on legendaries and all. I've basically given up on Diamond, for it being boring to me... Glad I didn't buy it... But now I've realized, if I see all 150 there are to see in Sinnoh, I'll be able to use it to trade with Ruby (which would be good), but I've only seen 47 and I know it'd take a long time to get the National Pokedex. Arrgh.
Don't offer to help me out here by trading with me a bunch, because I'll probably refuse...

If you had actually read my post, you would have noticed that I put Darkrai under "Possible," which means I don't know how I'm going to get it. I'm definitely not using an Action-Replay, but I may be able to get one from the GTS (who knows?), or I'll just have to wait until the next Nintendo cross-country event comes around (and that's only if the event is giving away Darkrai; it could be any Pokémon, really.) The only reason I bothered to put Darkrai, though, was because I would like him in my party. He'll probably never be in there, but one can hope.

In Diamond, I migrated what is quite possible the ultimate catching Pokémon: A high level Smeargle with False Swipe, Hypnosis, Mean Eye, and one other thing that I can't remember right now. It really is a great help. Where am I going with this?
Regigigas cost me a single Dusk Ball. I don't know why it was so astoundingly easy, especially after Heatran took around 30 Dusk Balls.

It annoys me greatly when people fill up their teams with legendaries and ubers because of how powerful they are or because they're too lazy to raise any thing that can potentially be great but you're not willing to commit yourself to them.
Like my Skuntank. He's my versatile speedy guy that can probably handle most anything thrown at it. And I caught it with only Toxic and Growl, or something similar to that when it had terrible moves.

We agree on something (add it to a history book or something, someone)! It's something Karen said when you beat her in the Elite Four of the second generation--that there are no strong or weak Pokemon, and true players should win with their favorites.

Excellent point, BP. That's part of the reason I'm not going to use any legendaries in my new Pearl party. I'm not even going to use starters. I actually like challenging myself every so often.

Well, not using starters isn't something I typically do. However, since no one ditches their starter, really, it fills the world with Blazikens and Torterras and stuff... Which is why trading an egg at the beginning of a newly-started file is cool. It'll hatch at level 5, recognize you as its original trainer, and everything. But as I've been saying in this topic, I have no way of doing that. Two Game Boy Pokemon cartridges, one of which is Blue--no egg-trading. One GBA cartridge. One... way... of playing Diamond. And I don't feel like filling up the Sinnoh Pokedex with images just to trade with Ruby, 'cause I don't find Diamond to be so great. It's just me, I can see. Grrrr...

I've already crafted a devious scheme to get my brother's Palkia when he catches it. Since he let me migrate some guys from his FireRed game, I'm going to make him trade me Palkia for one of his guys. I'm also getting a second Azelf and Uxie in this way...once he hurries up and finishes the game...WHICH HE HASN'T BEEN PLAYING...

Bird Person, do you actually have Diamond now? If you do, I could get you a wide variety of Pokémon. I have a Level 73 Haunter with great moves that I would hate to see go to waste (of course, you'd get a Gengar, but that's not such a problem, is it?).
And to all other people, I now have Raikou. Once I drain the game, I'll go after Entei. I expect to see a Suicune out of somebody! I still can't find my old LeafGreen cartridge (which had Suicune), but I don't miss K.B. Ghost anymore. I have a female Gengar that is taking his place at my left hand. She's special-- you'd have to see her to know why. Also, I have more than enough Porygons, Eevees, and more. Just ask.
...I still need a Latias.

Clever, Bird Person. I do think that an Everstone would prevent a trade evolution. I don't see what makes Haunter much better than Gengar, with the exception of floating hands. Haunter looks kind of... sloppy. Portly, too, although some portrayals of Gengar make them both appear... portly. It's too early in the morning for me to think very clearly right now.

N64 Chick, you heard correctly. Haunter and Gengar can be caught in the Old Chateau if you have any of the third-gen games in Slot 2. See Bulbapedia (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Dongle_method) for details about other monsters that can be caught by utilizing a third-gen cart.
What do you people have against the Everstone? It's not like it's stopping you from obtaining the National Dex.

Hmm...Mac (I'm so tired of typing "my boyfriend") and I seem to have run into a bit of a problem. He can't decide if he should get me Ruby or Emerald.
The way I see it, getting Ruby will result in missing out on Pineco, Gligar, Shuckle, Teddiursa and all their evolutions. A total of seven Pokémon. But assuming that my research is correct, getting Emerald will only result in having one Pokémon missing, Zangoose.
If we had wi-fi, this wouldn't be an issue. Curses...

Suffix, I'm well aware of the fact that Regigigas isn't very good. But I still don't have WFC access (something that may be fixed very soon, depending on if my brother actually plays Pearl or not), and if I have the three golems, my brother doesn't have a chance of getting him, because there's no way I'm trading him 3 legendaries unless he's giving me something good (which he won't be able to until late in the game, because his FireRed guys will get me the earlier legendaries).
N64 Chick, from what I've heard, the insane amount of extra stuff in Emerald, plus the fact that you can catch Groudon and Kyogre, means that you really shouldn't care about Zangoose.

If yes, then can I get some advice on which stat to EV train?
I'm 105/252 when EV training my speed stat, but I want to know what other stat to EV train. Would it be better to train Defense to be more of a tank, or Sp. Attack to be more of a sweeper?

With EVs, I often like to exaggerate certain stats a Pokémon has. For instance, Morticia, my main Gengar, would normally have a high Special Attack. To emphasize this trait, she slaughtered-- I mean, wiped out-- I mean-- whatever. She destroyed her brethren to gain massive Special Attack. She usually gained +7 to her Special Attack every time she leveled up.
And Kojinka, you can keep the egg I loaned. I was bored yesterday and got a new one! And it was so easy (see: lucky) this time, that I might just try for another one!

From what I've heard, despite the awsomeness of it being the first Wi-Fi Wii game, Pokemon Battle Revolution is pretty shallow (though it looks awesome--which is weird, considering that every other console Pokemon game has had heinous graphics).

Well, I was wrong. Getting the National Dex does not let you move Pokémon between Diamond and a GBA games--only from GBA games to Diamond. I found this out after my search for a way to just get the National Dex, with no intentions of using any cheating involved to assist me in Diamond, in which I don't really have much interest.
HOWEVER...
You're wondering what I found... It is a Diamond/Pearl game save editor. I can change pretty much anything, it seems. Requests from anyone who wants an impossible-to-get legendary thing, it seems I can fulfill.
BUT...
I am a totally nice guy (BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!), but my Internet is sort of down right now: The WildBlue people cut our speed by a lot because the total number of megabytes worth of stuff downloaded over the last thirty rolling days is 14020, somehow. I swear it's h4xxing, or a mistake. Even I don't pirate that much... The number is steadily falling, but it won't return to normal until the number is lower than 13600. In a couple of weeks, though, I'd be happy to grant people those darned impossibles, if there are any... I don't really believe in cheating, however, so I'll probably put them at really low levels. Nothing your Lucky Eggs can't fix, though, eh?

I haven't edited anything I have but my disappointing Pokédex so far and still don't really intend to use this tool to my advantage (though if I replaced my Pokémon with oldbies I could raise, it might be more fun).
But man do I wish I could have transferred some stuff to Ruby. I JUST WANT TO START A NEW FILE WITH AN EGG, IS THAT ASKING A LOT?!?!?!!?!?!?

Man, I'm scrolling through my artificially-complete Pokedex looking at them all in order. The oldest ones' sprites made me smile. The second-gen ones did too. The third-gen ones, not so bad...
And to me it looks like those people were SCRAPING for inspiration for these things. All the new evolutions for the oldest ones that had no evolutions at all... it looks like they fed them gallons and gallons of radioactive creamed corn and watched to see what happened, to be honest.

If you have Emerald, you could do the duplication glitch before transfering the Pokémon to the new game. How to do it? Like this:
1st, you need to have completed the Elite Four, so you can go to the Battle Frontier. Go to the Battle Tower, deposit any Pokémon you might want to duplicate and save in front of the PC(in the Battle Tower). Withdraw the Pokémon you want to duplicate and go to the nearest counter lady(link Multi Battle). When SHE asks if you want to save, answer yes; when THE GAME asks if you want to save, answer no and immideatly soft reset(A+B+Start+Select). Return to the game and you should be in front of the lady, look in your party: all the Pokémon should be there. Now go to the PC and the Pokémon should be there too! everything will be alike: item, stats, moves, etc.

It's to prove you are hardcore, or that you're very dedicated to finishing your Pokedex, or you're really desperate for an event legendary that you want as a team member but aren't willing to wait for an event that has a 1 in 1000 chance of arriving in your hometown.

It's apparently a "hacked" Deoxys, so why do you even want it? And if you don't care about that, why not just hack your own?
Seriously people, everything in videogames is just meaningless bits and 0s and 1s and such. The only thing that gives them meaning and worth is the time (and skill and luck) required to manipulate them in such a way that earns you a rare Pokemon or a lvl 100 Pokemon. If you just hack your way to get whatever you want, you rob the game of all that meaning, and it becomes no longer a game, but just some sterile program. The Pokedex becomes no longer an achievement, but only a reference. I know Bird Person has no problem haxx0ring because he doesn't respect the 4th gen. But those of you respect and love Pokemon, hacking only ruins it for yourself. It changes a game and a self-coherent world into just an encyclopedia and computer program.

I'm pretty much on Lizard Dude's side, though I like using the Mew Glitch and Missingno on occasion... I was only offering, if you don't mind it being synthetic and everything.
Now what I want to see next are Wi-Fi-enabled DS remakes of Gold and Silver. Those I'd enjoy playing. It seems to me that generation II didn't get enough attention... it's like nobody cares about it because it wasn't first and therefore not as nostalgic, but not advanced enough. Come on! Generation II, which let you explore two regions, which let you earn sixteen badges, which let you meet up with all the important generation I characters three year after. Gold, Silver and Crystal were COOL games. Add the generation III-IV elements to make it work, throw in ways to catch some of the not-as-cool-as-the-first-two-sets generation III Pokémon and monstrosities from IV after beating the Elite Four (waiting until after beating Red is probably too long) as well as the ability to migrate from GBA games and trade with Diamond and Pearl, nearby or via Wi-Fi... I'd be a happy camper. Trading with other... Glistening Gold and Shimmering Silver... players any time from the start of the game would be a given. Who agrees with me?

Lugia was cool. Those titles... are pretty bad, but I'm sure the title department could come up with something better. The ideas, I like... I wish I could be involved with the fourth generation without being bored. Diamond, I found pretty boring in comparison with Gold.

I'd get both, since I didn't get Gold Version (I'm trying to find it at my local VG stores), I have the Silver Version already, but I can't get enough Lugia.

I'd probably end up pirating it or them, to be honest. I'm not rich right now--I have approximately one hundred dollars I can spend, which must be saved to ensure I can get Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl on their release days. I will probably also get Mario Kart (by which time I'll have Christmas and possibly even birthday money), and there's something else I'm wanting to buy that is fifty dollars. It'd be better this way anyhow... I can always move the save files to my computer and start new ones without trashing the old ones with ROMs and all.
Don't worry about me cheating my way to holding the deed to the universe. I wouldn't use the Diamond and Pearl save editor to cheat even if I could--how do you trade when both games are in the same DS? Ha ha ha ha. I'd enjoy it just fine with what's there.
You can get Lugia in Gold, with the Silver Wing from Pewter and the ability to face it in all its level 70-ness. That didn't make sense to me, that the almighty bird on the box is catchable about halfway through Johto while the other is the big boss you get after making it to Kanto.

True. But the level 70 Lugia won't have its trademark move Aero Blast. Same thing happens with Ho-oh and Sacred Fire.

While I only read a portion of the cheating discussion, I thought I'd just add my opinion. I've always been against it. The use of the Missingno glitch to obtain infinite Rare Candies in the original R/B/Y was something all of friends would use way back in high school, and I could never understand it. Even when we got Pokemon Stadium which had Dodrio mode, which drastically sped up legitimate training, they would still take the Rare Candy shortcut. It's the same with the outright cheating with the new-fangled devices. There's just no satisfaction, or gratification in doing that. It completely defeats what I envision as the purpose of the game but I digress. I completely realize that those who don't see it that way will not suddenly come around because some guy on the internet disagrees with them.
My co-workers and friends on campus have taken to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and have started raising competitive teams. I've also been working on a team in what little spare time I have, and so I thought I'd see who here also has, or plans on raising a (preferably legitimate) competitive team. If there are enough people here, perhaps we could organize a sort of tournament for the end of the summer. Just an idea, but for now I'd like to see who all is interested in that sort of thing.

I wish I could, but I only beat 4 gym leaders so far and I fear I would never be able to force myself to get six level 100s. Would it be a level 100 tournament?
When that guy tried to start a MKDS tournament, there basically weren't enough people (8?) willing to go online.

Don't forget that you can opt for a Level 100 match, in which Pokémon are automatically leveled up as many times as necessary to reach Level 100. This, of course, doesn't account for EVs, so you still have to train to some extent.
But using a Lucky Egg, I am slowly getting people up to Level 100 just in case that gives them an edge. I really don't know if it would.

As far as what my friends on campus and I are doing, it's level 100, yeah. That doesn't have to be the case here, though. I really was just interested in seeing what members, if any, would be interested in any sort of battling since I'll be doing this for other reasons as well. Definitely doesn't have to be anything formal, like a tournament. That's just a possibility.
It's up to any one who wants to play. If people want to invoke a level 100 rule, a level 50 rule, or anything else I'm okay with that. However, as far as WiFi battling goes on the DS, I think those are the only two options (And as Suffix has said, they scale automatically). I've only done it to check IVs, so I'm not exactly well versed in the WiFi options available. Perhaps someone else knows for certain?
It really comes down to what everyone else wants. I know there's a lot of members here who have the game, but I have absolutely no clue how serious anyone is about it.

Well, I caught Mewtwo in LuigiGreen even though my party was only at level 60. All it took was a save, two resets, three fainted Pokémon and ten Ultra Balls. I guess the only thing that is left to catch and transfer is the legendary dog...and I am not looking forward to doing that. I feel so burnt out right now...

I have a Mewtwo in a Master Ball, a Palkia in a Master Ball, and two unused Master Balls (one from when my brother restarted his FireRed cartridge and traded his guys to me, and the one that I have yet to use on Diamond). It'll be three if I steal my brother's from FireRed (although I might just trade it to LeafGreen so that I can catch Entei), and it'll be even more if I ever win the grand prize at the Lottery (the closest I've come is an Exp. Share from the second prize).

If you have Pokemon Colosseum and a GBA/GCN link cable, trade the dog to the GBA game and trade it back to Pokemon Colosseum. You'll find it faster. That's what I did to find Suicune faster on my Leaf Green version. (this tactics makes repeat balls more effective)

I caught a shiny Rayquaza yesterday in the early morning after trying for months (or depending how I count, years). You see, back in 2004, I was trying to capture Rayquaza but I failed several times... frustrated, I started to Ice beam it with Kyogre and restarting. I did it several times... then I noticed something strange in the sliding animation before the battle, Rayquaza's silhouette was darker than normal. My TV was having problems, I thought. But then... the lights turned on and... OH GAWD IT WAS SHINY!!!!!!!!11 Shocked I started to attack it and I got its life to red, and it used outrage so it became confused. I threw and Ultra Ball, but it escaped. I was hoping that Rayquaza used rest, but as I feared, it hit itself and suicided... "NOOOO", I yelled... After seeing his shiny goodness, I couldn't just caught a normal Rayquaza, I needed the shiny one, so I kept trying. Years passed, and Rayquaza was still sitting in sky pillar. Yesterday, I was doing some stuff in my computer while resetting, and it appeared again! Finally! But this time, I was equipped with haxxed Master Balls! I threw one to it and I instantly saved. I am not proud of using haxxed items, but I still have my honest Master Ball in Colosseum so I guess I will toss that to even it out. Anyway, this personal feud with Rayquaza finally ended... I feel great relief.

I know I just said this in the HOPEFUL Thread, but I feel that I need to say it here as well. I was looking for a shiny Ralts for Mac and I found a shiny Shinx instead. Not what I was looking for, but I went ahead and caught it anyway. Could be good to have around.

Alternately. Colored. Man, looking for a particular alt. colored Pokémon is nuts... Was the Shinx you found holding the Holy Grail? Once I found an alternately colored Natu in Gold, Silver or Crystal when looking for a Smeargle. It was pink in Stadium 2. I don't care much for weird-looking Pokémon... they look weird. Take a green Espeon I once battled...
Within the next three days, I will have access to any number of Game Boy - Game Boy Advance ROMs, with link cable power. Yes. I got kind of a head start, you could say. In Fire Red, I beat the Elite Four by a miracle, and my whole team is level 59... It would've been at least all level 65 by now but a saving error (see: I'm an idiot) set me back to around 57, except Lickitung at 39. I stopped playing, I'll continue after doing some stuff between it and Ruby.
Still haven't forgotten about Gold and Silver remakes. You know, in that Diamond/Pearl save editor I have, in which I created Your Doom*, you can edit a Pokémon's origin. You know, where it was caught. One of the locations is Johto.
*Golden Magikarp with Surf, Psychic, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, the ability Wonder Guard, and ridiculously heightened stats. It's totally illegal and I'll never use it in a game I enjoy**. I've only made it for fun.
**My Prinplup, which I transformed into a Quilava using the save editor, is now Suffix's. "You really don't care at all for Diamond!"

It's been established that you ought to not waste anything worth having on my Diamond game. It'll probably turn into a flying Snorlax or something... I don't really have any non-mutants to give, anyway. Just wait; if and when Gold and Silver remakes happen, I'll really care. Till then, I could copy my FireRed save file, trade my team to Ruby (when the SuperCard SD gets here), migrate them to Diamond, and use them in Wi-Fi battles... that'd at least make Diamond worth SOMETHING to me. I'll do that after more training, I'd probably still be creamed heavily now.
If you take the three years' difference between Red/Green and Gold/Silver, (Japan releases) and apply it to FireRed and LeafGreen, the Gold and Silver remakes about which I won't shut up should be here this year.

Using the Max Media Dock and that D/P save editor that BP was talking about, I edited the save from my brother's Pearl card so that he now has a full Pokédex. I also created a shiny Arceus and a Mew that have been traded to my game. Also, one of my brother's friends has WFC access, so I may be able to get online at some point or another.

No one who didn't get one of those impossible legendaries from a special event deserves one. That is to say, tell your brother to not cry about spilled milk that was never his.
I've really stopped caring about full Pokédexes. Looking for rarities you don't have without the intention to train them well... a waste of time. If it weren't for those aides and their items (Oak has aides, aaaaaahahahaha) I'd skip the whole ordeal of searching and spend time on my team. I believe you get such freedom in Gold and Silver... Besides, Blue insists he can do it himself.
I've become very anti-legendary, too... "One of a kind," eh? Then why does everyone use them to get the Elite Four over with quickly...? "They're strong," huh? But, you get them and they're already like that. Effort not detected. But in truth, a high-leveled legendary will have an unfair advantage over hard-earned goodies... Which is one of the main reasons I hate them so much. You really should be able to defeat any species with any other naturally-raised species (except for Magikarp, Caterpie etc...). This poses a problem... do I deem people who would try to use legendaries against me cheaters and refuse to continue? Or do I take my chances and laugh if I win, but nervously claim that it did not count if I lose...?

Now, now, he's entitled to his own party. I said it once, and I'll say it again: most any Pokémon has the potential to be good. Ponyta is part of that majority. Using the starter Pokémon as a comparison, I wouldn't say it's the best, but Rapidash has an above average physical attack ability.

It does, but then people are always whining about legendaries being impossible to capture and how they can't fill up their pokedex despite the fact that a good chunk of them will never have the patience to go through it all.
Anyway, I got my Manaphy and according to the poster, it cannot be traded through the GTS. So, for anyone hoping to get one, their only chance now is to buy Pokemon Ranger, which at 30 bucks, is not worth the purchase.
Surprisingly, there were a bunch of people coming in and out of the store just to get one and it was weird seeing little kids walking in with their parents and then some middle aged guy walking in with his wife and a DS Lite.
Besides the Manaphy I traded this guy a shiny Bronzer for a shiny Camerupt and I battled another guy but the match ended in a stalemate because he had a wall of a Registeel and I had only my Jirachi left and even with Sandstorm in effect, there was no way either of us would lose.

I have a theory on Aerodactyl's fossil,Old Amber.When Aerodactyl flourished, I think they ran into many pine trees. The sap hardend on Aerodactyl, and when it broke it off, some scales(It's DNA.) came off. My theory on fossils.

Actually it's a reference to how mosquitoes with dinosaurs' blood, and therefore DNA, could be found perfectly preserved in the sap of trees (which is how Jurassic Park happened).
