Five good points about Nintendo GC:

-The Nintendo GC has the highest texture resolution capabilities of any of the three systems.  People say that the GC hardware sucks because it can only generate relatively low numbers of polygons, but the improved textures often more than make up for this and multi-platform games often look better on the GameCube that they do on the other theoretically more powerful systems.

-GC has the largest game library of all three major systems.  Yes, it does.  (Can anyone figure out why?)

-The GameCube is the only one of the three systems that has a handle.  This is sort of a minor issue, but I like the handle.

-The GameCube is the only system that has connectivity to a handleheld system.  I personally have never played a game that made good use of connectivity, but I hear that four-player Four Swords Adventures is extremely fun.

-The Gamecube is cheaper than the other systems.

You only asked for five, but here's a sixth:

-The GameCube console is the exclusive home of such masterpieces as Super Smash Brothers Melee, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and every other console game featuring Nintendo's vast library of characters and franchises.  This is, by far, the most important reason to own a GameCube.  I completely agree that online games are incredibly fun, and I greatly wish that Nintendo would publish some online games, but I also know that single player games can also be incredibly fun.  Some of Nintendo's games may be "kiddie," but young children deserve to have fun just as much as older gamers do.  And there was nothing "kiddie" about Metroid Prime, which is in my opinion the greatest single-player game ever created.

nintendo is sorry, please don't post any more stupid topics. I will delete them if you do.

Hirocon and Nameneko put some actual effort into their posts, so this thread will remain untouched. (That is, unless other forum moderators disagree with me on this.)

I just want to ask, if you are still reading Nintendo Is Sorry, how old are you?

Please, don't spam here. This is a MARIO forum. If you come in here and insult Mario, Link and the rest of the timeless characters that Nintendo has created, then you, my friend, should get a life.

So, if that is your reason for coming, just leave before you get banned. You don't want to build up a bad rep, like Sadib100.

"online gaming is overrated." ok then, who here would rather play double dash with 3 other ppl (4 players) when u could play with 7 others (8 players)? anyone? i have so much fun just playing with 1 other person. if online gaming didnt matter, then no one wouyld really care for multi player games because u play with other ppl. can u imagine playing double dash with 7 other ppl?!!! nintendo doesnt even advertise that they have online capabilites. yet, since their the most xperienced in the game, they should realize the ppl want online games and more mature rated games. sega prvoed that the market is growing older when they made sonic. genesis actually sold more than the SNES because they realized the market is getting more mature. they dont wanna play kid games like kirby.

The Nintendo Gamecube is fully capable of online gameplay.  The reason Nintendo does not publish online games, according to them, is because they have not yet worked out a satisfactory business model for online games.  Frankly, I agree with them here.  I love online games, but I would never want to pay a monthly fee, in addition to what I already pay simply to get internet access, to be able to play online games.  There are some online games for which the developers provide free servers (such as games played through Blizzard's battle.net), and I play these games, and greatly enjoy them.  But I would never play X-Box Live.  And I don't expect all companies to follow Blizzard's example and provide free servers.

By the way, Mario Kart was a poor choice of examples.  While Mario Kart is not an online game, it can be played over a LAN, in which case eight people CAN play at the same time.

As I have
done before, I have bolded spelling
errors
, underlined other errors (ie: capitalization), and italicized
things that I have corrected
.  Also,
I have made anything that has been corrected red.

"Online
gaming is overrated." Ok then, who here
would rather play Double Dash with 3 other normal">people (4 players) when you
could play with 7 others (8 players)? Anyone?
I have so much
more fun
playing withnormal"> just one other person. If
online gaming didn’t
matter, then no one would
really care for multi-player games because you
play with other people.
[The previous sentence makes no sense.
I’d have to enter your mindset to figure out what the heck you were
saying, which I most definitely would not]
Can you
imagine playing Double Dash with 7
other people?
Nintendo doesn’t
even advertise normal">the fact that that they have online capabilities.
Yet
since they’re
the most normal">experienced company in
the gaming industry,
they should realize normal">that people want
online games and more mature rated games. Sega proved
that the market was
growing older when they made normal">the Sonic series. Genisis actually sold more
than the SNES because they realized the market is getting more mature. normal">[The previous sentence is jargon at its worst.
Present tense?  Past tense?
Do you time travel or something?]
normal">The consumers don’t
want to play games
geared towards kids such as Kirby.

Now,
let’s see…  I would rather play a
good quality, single-player game than a piece of trash with online capabilities.
Yes, I can imagine playing
MK:DD with seven other people.  Do I
have any interest in actually doing so?  No.
Hey, look, you just said that Nintendo is the most experienced company in
the gaming industry.  So why are you
bashing the company?  The Sonic
series isn’t any more mature than the Mario series.  No
blood.  No nudity.
No “mature” stuff.  The
console doesn’t have anything to do with the maturity of the games that come
out for it.  Then why is Kirby still
in his own games if he’s so unpopular?

EDIT: What I have deleted was rude, mean, and unncecessary.  I'll admit it.  Don't ask if you haven't read it.

excatly. some multi-player games NEED to be online. like starcraft. starcraft is only a 1 player game unless online. i understand that is sux taht u have to pay for most online games. there is something called xbox connect which enables free online pay with out pay, but u dont get to download content and have a speaker. i mean, arent u upset that u cant play games like ssbm or mkdd or mp2 online? its kinda dissapointing that an xperinced company like nintendo doesnt really support onlline play when they have so many great multiplayer games.

-No

"its [sic] kinda dissapointing [sic] that an xperinced [sic] company like nintendo [sic] doesnt [sic] really support onlline [sic] play when they have so many great multiplayer games."
-I think it's perfectly fine.  If a multi-player game is good enough without online capabilities, then who cares?  I certainly don't, but that's just my opinion and only my opinion, no one else's (because there seems to be misinterpretations when it comes to my opinions).

RTS games are practically only playable online in multiplayer. That's an entirely different type of game, for starters.
