RB has a few firsts this week: "American Hero vs. Done" is the first mash-up in RB and "PON DE FIOR" is the first experimental noise piece in RB. Hell yes, I'm going to play me the [dukar] out of some experimental noise.

This makes me think of my old arguments with Chupperson Weird about the merits of plastic instrument games. My favorite was when I got him to admit that if you play RB with your TV sound turned off it has musical merit as an experimental noise performance.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. Now that's a videogame title. I hope someone screams it on the title screen. "EL SHADDAI! ASCENSION OF THE METATRON!" It's based on the Book of Enoch, an ancient non-canon Jewish religious document that tells how Noah's great-grandfather Enoch goes up to heaven and learns about the Watchers: angels who came down to Earth, ****ed our women, and thus created a race of half-human half-angel giants called the Nephilim. Sadly, this awesome book wasn't allowed into the Bible because it isn't true and only true stories are allowed into the Bible.

Kyotokei is a horizontally-scrolling Ikaruga clone. It looks atrocious.

I'll wait until I have my 360 to get Bastion, unless it gets a discount on Steam in the two months before that.

El Shaddai looks good, but what little spending money I don't blow at PAX is going to go into making sure I'm not subsisting entirely on noodle-based foods when college starts. In other words, that's $60 I'm not able to part with just yet.

Good RBN releases: Freezepop, Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives, and a song about the inventor of chicken nuggets.

"Dance Battle Alpha" has an awesome name but sucks.

I hear the PC version of From Dust is an abomination and a blight on this earth. Supposedly it raped and murdered one reviewer's family and forced them to watch, and turned another critic's skin inside-out in such a way that they were alive during and after the operation.

To be honest, he looks more like a potato than a Chicken McNugget.

It's funny you should mention that, because a few days ago I thought I had the perfect "Drop it Like it's Hot" joke involving shooping my nugga onto someone dropping a hot potato, until I remembered that... well, he's my nugga.

I'd so be playing Achron right now if I had a computer. Rock of Ages it is, then.
