River City Ransom (yes!) and Phantasy Star 3.

I have yet to play Phantasy Star III. I only have II and IV for the Genesis and Online for the Dreamcast (and I never got to play it online ever)

The only on I've played so far was the first one for the Master System. Not bad, but I like the Shining Force series more than the Phantasy Star series.

This, after playing the one on the least advanced system.
That was a joke.

It shouldn't have anything to do with what system it's on.

II and IV are supposed to be way better than the first. I personally liked IV the most. Best storyline, gameplay, and music to absolutely die for. But keep in mind this is without playing I or III.

I'm pretty sure the first may have been the least superior. I kinda wish I had my Genesis back :(.

I own Phantasy Star, II and IV, so I've been contemplating whether I should get III on VC.

And yeah, control, memory, text space, colors/resolution, all have to do with the system the game is on.
That was a joke.

For the record, I like Shining Force more than Phantasy Star II, which were both on the Genesis, so yeah. Phantasy Star II is still pretty awesome though.

I suppose I should give more effort to trying Shining Force, although I didn't really like what I played.
That was a joke.

That was the complete opposite of me. I liked Shining Force as soon as I started, but I had to give Phantasy Star II a second chance.

I think Shining Force CD is the best one. Shining in the Darkness isn't bad, especially if you like Phantasy Star, since it uses the First Person Dungeon perspective. Same with Shining in the Holy Ark, which is pretty cheap nowadays.

I got a loose copy of Shining Force CD a while back for pretty cheap. Haven't actually tried it yet though. Other Shining games (except in the Darkness) seem rather hard to come by and expensiveish.
That was a joke.
